Here at HotCars, we love a good rendering. These can either be based on upcoming car models, changes to existing ones, or pure works of fantasy. There are so many fantastic artists out there and they deserve to have their work showcased. One of these guys is Oscar Vargas, who goes by @wb.artist20 on Instagram. He produces some spectacular renderings and renditions, and one of them is this rather cool 1969 Dodge Charger that he has turned into a station wagon and posted onto his Instagram page.

A Different Take On The Ringbrothers' Charger

This particular Charger that he has rendered is based on a Charger that was produced by the custom auto shop team Ringbrothers, which they dubbed "Defector." The Charger is one of the most popular muscle cars in existence, first appearing in 1964 as a show car and going through various generations, culminating in the latest that was first seen from 2006 onwards. This is a very elegant rendering that keeps much of the original Charger shape but very clearly adds those extra touches and design cues that turn it into a station wagon.

The front has hardly been changed at all. It is only as you look further down the car that you can see the changes that have been produced. It has gone from a two-door, to of course a four dour car, the rear perhaps looking to have less of a slope than the original muscle car. When we take a look at the car from the rear, the differences are clear to see. This does very much look like a 1960s station wagon, with a distinctive rear façade and taillights and the large, roomy rear window that will allow plenty of natural light to enter the car.

In terms of how attractive the car looks, well that is quite a subjective subject. However, it is probably fair to say that this is an incredibly clean and attractive looking rendering, and is so well executed you would perhaps have to do a double-take to realize that this was a car never produced. It is also worth mentioning that the roof is extended, with a shorter but sharper drop down to the rear of the car.
