The Plymouth Barracuda is a classic car that you'd want to own. It doesn't matter if it's a restomod, since a Cuda always looks stunning in one way or another. This Cuda is one of them, and it's quite a great find. Boasting a full fiberglass body and a 6.4-liter HEMI engine, this ready-to-race Plymouth Barracuda is currently up for grabs.
520 Horses On Tap
Serving as the heart of this classic muscle car is a 6.4-liter fuel injected HEMI backed by a TorqStorm supercharger and mated to a TR6060 six-speed manual transmission. This combo results in a healthy max output of 520 hp. For cooling needs, this Cuda borrows a radiator from a 2012 Dodge Challenger, as helped by a Turn One power steering pump and a CX Racing Intercooler with 4-inch core.
This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda sits on an Art Morrison Max G frame with a Ford 9-inch rear end (3:70 gears). This Cuda rides on ET LTIII wheels shod with 18-inch varying width BFGoodrich tires. Interestingly, quite a number of parts of this Cuda are customized (CNC machined) to ensure that nothing is missed and everything works great.
Race-Themed In And Out
It's quite easy to spot this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda thanks to its bright orange finish with race-themed graphics – otherwise, it would've been a bad paint job. Underneath this finish is a full fiberglass shell body from Downs Custom Performance – except its bumpers, front and rear glass, and tail lights. It also features front and rear spoilers.
Inside, this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda isn't just race-themed, but also race-prepped. Its rear seats are removed while a roll cage and RaceQuip harnesses are installed. The cabin features a removable Grant steering wheel, custom Classic Instruments gauges, and Wilwood pedal box. Likewise, the cabin boasts a CNC-machined center console and a VFN Dashboard.
Race-Proven Classic
This Cuda is such a head-turner that it was displayed at the 2014 SEMA Show. Likewise, it's race-proven as it has ruled its class in a local CAM-T AutoCross and is a strong contender in AutoCross national competitions. For some reasons, it's owner is selling this Cuda for $62,500 at Garage Kept Motors.
