General Motors released a fully redesigned Chevrolet Corvette for the 1984 model year. This fourth-generation Chevrolet C4 Corvette was a big success, and sales were more than double than the previous year. Today, it is difficult to find clean, low-mileage 1984 Corvettes still in existence. Especially ones that have had only one owner. But one such example is now available for sale on Craigslist. This car is in Colorado with an asking price of $14,500.

By the time the 1980s arrived, the C3 Corvette was a dinosaur, last redesigned in 1968. The Corvette was in dire need of an overhaul, and those changes came in 1984 with the arrival of the C4 Corvette.

The 1984 Corvette's new exterior was a fresh update to the classic Corvette profile. It maintained the signature retractable headlights and quad round taillights. The new interior featured a dash with an LCD speedometer and tach that looked as if it came straight out of the future.

The 1984 Corvette was well-received by consumers. Chevrolet sold over 51,000 copies of the C4 Corvette during the 1984 calendar year. That marked a 102% increase over the previous year.

The Craigslist ad says this 1984 Chevrolet Corvette was originally purchased new in Oklahoma City. The owner then relocated the car to Colorado in 2016. It stayed in a climate-controlled warehouse until last month. The original order sheet, manuals and dealer literature come with the car. The odometer has a reading of 25,703 miles.

Pictures of the interior show a black stain on the passenger seat. Cracks and tears to the leather are viewable on the side bolster of the driver seat. Aside from that, the interior appears to be in good condition for a car that is almost four decades old.

This Corvette is in need of a wash, as the photos reveal a layer of dust coating the exterior. The engine bay seems to be very clean. The car appears to sit on the original factory rims, but there is no mention of the tires in the ad.
