One of the best parts about today's automotive landscape comes thanks to the world wide web, which allows gearheads everywhere to enjoy niche subcultures from across the globe. From wild hot-hatch drag racing in Europe to Ken Block drifting in the gravel of Southern Utah, all the way to Asia, automobiles are clearly enjoying a boom in popularity lately. Case in point now comes from the YouTube channel CB Media, where host Chad Bee has posted a string of videos documenting his fun in Southeast Asia. His newest clip features a look at a '90s-themed car meet in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring a ton of JDM stunners, plus the usual goodies from Europe and the USA.

Keep Your Eyes On The Cars

Of course, the video wouldn't be complete without the requisite human models on display left and right, but truly, the lineup of vehicle models itself is just as impressive. Many have been modified extensively with wings, massive aero kits, huge wheels, and engine swaps.

On hand for the meetup, Mazda fans have clearly decided to make their rotary-powered presence felt, as FD-generation RX-7 lines litter the event. Of course, no 1990s JDM car meetup would be possible without a few Godzilla variants in the mix, so Bee shows off a ton of Nissan Skyline GT-R examples, as well.

Other JDM highlights include a handful of Mitsubishi Lancer Evo builds done up in rally style—one even looks like a legit Tommi Makinen special edition. But the meet isn't strictly limited to JDM stars, as proven by a slew of 1990s Mercedes-Benzes that look stately in comparison to the heavily tuned Japanese sports cars that make up most of the rest of the video.
