Like JDM cars? Well, then you're in luck, cause we have an extra cool treat for you today. ThatDudeInBlue has uploaded a video on his YouTube channel showcasinng an amazing modified Toyota MR2 that pumps out a crazy 707 bhp! Part of what makes the MR2 so cool is the fact that, like many JDM cars, it can be customized in a variety of ways.

A Crazy Level Of Horsepower

Now, let's think about this for a second. This car has 707 bhp. That is the power output of a Dodge Hellcat. But, and this is the crucial difference, the weight of a feather. This car weighs a heck of a lot less than a Dodge Hellcat. This particular MR2 is a 1992 edition of the car, and there is a knob on the car that can turn the power level up and down. This is between pop-gas and E85, and the former makes 480 bhp. And in a car as light as the MR2, that is still a crazy amount of horsepower!

Full E85 then gives you the full 707 bhp. Just a quick twist of the knob near your knee and you have all of that insane power to play with. The 1992 edition of the MR2 is the SW20, the spider version of the car. This was notorious for snap-oversteer, due to its mid-engined, manual configuration catching a few drivers out. The motor in the car is a Gen 5, 5S GTE engine. A turbo engine. Oh, and just like the potential 2024 model, this MR2 is certainly a looker.

A Mad Rear Intercooler

The intercooler and radiator setup is a bit different from these engines, as it is all in the back of the car as well. Mainly because there isn’t anywhere else for it to go. Whatever the reason may be, this car is frankly awesome and a very cool way of showing just what is capable of when you get your hands on a JDM car, and go to town modifying it.
