The Dodge Viper has never been about subtlety when it comes to nearly every aspect of the car. It is loud, hard to handle, very fast, and about as obnoxious as it can be, and we love it for that. Now, more companies are making insanely powerful modified Vipers that push well past the 1,500 horsepower mark, but performance shop Nth Moto decided to melt the pavement and their tires with their 2,000+ horsepower Viper ACR-Extreme.

Fully Built

The Viper in question started it's life as an ACR-Extreme, the ultimate track handling package for the car that came to over $140,000 brand new. The Extreme package added an even more aggressive rear wing and canards, stickier tires, and diffusers to keep the car planted around corners. At 640 horsepower, it was no slouch either and was one of the fastest naturally aspirated cars available.

After Nth Moto got their hands on the car, they fitted the car with a twin turbo setup to raise the power dramatically. The car was fitted with Nth Moto's very own H-pattern billet gearbox that allowed the driver to seamlessly upshift the car without using the clutch at all. The car was then tuned on One Ethanol R fuel which is specifically designed for super high performance race cars which costs over $450 for a 54 gallon barrel. Fully modified, the car sits at just over 2,000 horsepower, which should mean the car is capable of a quarter mile run in under 9 seconds.

Once put on the tarmac, the Viper became something else entirely. Shooting white-hot flames from the side exit pipes, the Viper lit up the surrounding area while sitting still. As the car starts into a massive burnout, the turbo spool becomes more audible and the immensity of the car's power becomes more evident. Rolling out of the facility, the Viper jumps alive onto the highway, flames sputtering out the sides on every shift.

As the car rolls to a stop at the light, the turbos spool back down louder than many cars' exhaust notes. As the light changes, the car shoots off a fireball in front of the classic Mini next to it before rocketing down the highway. Revving up to the redline, the car begins to sound more like a drag car than a supercar while scorching the pavement beside it as it passes. With much more aggressive acceleration, the passenger in the car struggled to hold the camera steady especially as a very high speed fly-by is seen on the highway.
