Kyle Wade from the YouTube channel BoostedBoiz laid claim to the world’s fastest Honda/Acura NSX, with 9- and 8-second passes. The NSX, to give due credit, does look and sound electrifying and Wade is pretty confident about it. With million-plus followers and another 2 million views, the channel is going up, more because of the fastest NSX in the world, or so Wade claims. Here’s the DL on that gorgeous NSX that does seem to be very fast, indeed.

The Fastest NSX In The World

As the BoostedBoiz social media pages state, “The NSX is an ANIMAL. We now own the FASTEST NSX in the world! Only 2 passes in and this thing popped off an 8.8@166! World's first 9-second and 8-second NSX! New video just went live!”

However, one Facebook user was quick to point out that there was already a cool NSX drag racer that did the same in the 7s, so clearly, they should call their NSX the “fastest street NSX”, not the fastest NSX.

About four months ago is when BoostedBoiz launched their NSX to the world, introducing it as, “Proud to introduce the newest addition to the line-up! 1000hp, K-swapped, sequential transmission, Acura NSX! New video is live!”

About the Acura NSX

The Acura NSX was way different than the rest of the sports cars of its time. It came onto the scene with a mid-engine layout with an aluminum semi-monocoque design. The engine was a naturally-aspirated 3.0-liter VTEC V6 that ran on a five-speed manual transmission or on a four-speed automatic. This was the first time a VTEC came to the US shores.

With 270 horses and 210 lb-ft torque, the NSX was capable of a 0-60 MPH in the four-five second range, with a top speed of 163 MPH. It came with exceptional handling, and a test session with Ayrton Senna made sure it was the best that it could be.

The Acura NSX Is Quite A Buzz

The video offers an inside view of Wade running the quarter-mile, and from the looks of it, it's quite a rush, given the near G-force acceleration of the car. As Wade says, “I can’t believe this day is here”. And even the audience seemed pretty excited as the NSX whizzed by, in a burst of blue from inside the cabin.

The Acura NSX was always a cool car. One meant to be driven hard. Wade just proves how hard…
