Just like many German giants such as Mercedes, Lexus offer higher performance variants. This was the case when it came to the Lexus RC F. It certainly looks the part of a high performer, its amazingly beautiful body looks aggressive but elegant at the same time, offering quad exhausts tips, 19-inch wheels and an actively deploying rear spoiler all provide a monstrous and speedy feel. Continuing with the performance side of the Lexus RC F, it boasts a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces an impressive 467 hp. Featuring a sport-tuned suspension, huge Brembo brakes and an available torque-vectoring rear differential sum up the performance rankings.

In contrast, the RC F also presents a highly impressive interior, all surfaces are finished in high quality materials while the dashboard design is attractive to say the least. The RC F also offers comfortable and supportive front seats.

Does The Lexus RC F Have Any Weaknesses?

 2015 Lexus rc f

Yes, unfortunately, and surprisingly, the Lexus RC F does have some weaknesses. The RC F is incredible and fun to drive, although it’s not as sharp as some other high-performance coupes, such as the 2015 BMW M4. Having to move your fingers in a mouse like fashion requires too much attention to use the infotainment system, while it also seems way too complicated and fidgety to use. Acceleration and nimbleness in tight turns aren’t very good in the RC F, considering it's such a high-performance monster. The stability control system used in the Lexus RC F can be annoying to say the least, in that is dials back the fun when you’re looking for an exhilarating drive.

Does The Sporty Vibe Continue In The Interior?

Like mentioned before, the RC F’s four-seat cabin is designed and trimmed in consistently high-quality materials. The RC F’s interior offers high comfort with dashboards, arm rests and sides of the center console being densely padded and the supportive and cushioned front seats proving to be comfortable and supportive. On the downside the rear seats offer very little legroom, that is only really useable for children or cargo. These rear seats also do not fold down to offer more trunk space, with the trunk only offering 10.1 cubic feet of capacity, which is fewer than its competitors. The sporty feel given from the exterior of the RC F is continued inside, with the audio and climate controls being steeply angled. Probably the only weakness to the interior is the infotainment and navigation system, which is far from ideal, and pretty much unusable when you’re on the move.

What Is The Lexus RC F Like To Drive?

The Lexus RC F reminds you that you are driving a high-performance car with the firmly springing suspension, yet it’s not stiff-legged. At lower speeds, the RC F simply demolishes corners with crisp turn-in, minimal body roll and extremely accurate steering. Driver confidence is further heightened with the robust chassis. However, at higher speeds, the steering becomes less responsive while safety systems don’t allow you to unleash the beast in full. Providing a pleasant setup, the RC F’s 8-speed automatic transmission is refined, and its upshifts and downshifts are impressively quick, although competitors automated manual transmissions still feel sharper and more responsive. When the 2015 Lexus RC F’s exhaust opens, it makes an incredible roar, that is just like music to your ears! The 5-liter V8 engine can kick out 467 hp and 389 lb-ft of torque, while the gas-powered rear-wheel drive is able to reach 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and is able to scream a quarter mile in only 12.5 seconds! The top speed on the Lexus RC F is limited to 170 mph, which is far superior to what the BMW offers on its M-badged models.
