It's revealed and criticized for looking the same but the new Range Rover packs some next-level upgrades everyone would want on their SUV. To start things off the redesigned look of the 2022 Range Rover differentiates from the last generation model most noticeably by the rear end. Redesigned taillights now sit in a thin line horizontally and look quite classy. The front looks almost the same but Land Rover put the body lines closer together and it does look like a slightly slim Range Rover to the trained eye. Overall, it's still a really nice and bold SUV and something everyone would want to ride in. It comes in two different wheelbase variants and for the first time in the US, Land Rover is bringing third-row seats.

There will also be a fully electric model but that is expected to arrive in 2024 according to Land Rover. Meanwhile, the car will go on sale in early 2022 and this will be the priciest Range Rover money could buy.

As mentioned before there will be two wheelbases for the new Range Rover. The standard-wheelbase model starts at $105,350 while the long-wheelbase variant with 7-seats comes at $110,000 for the base model and $156,000 for the Autobiography trim. All 2022 Range Rovers are subject to a $1,350 shipping fee and can be loaded in a ton of options and color variants that spike up the price.

We will look closer at the standard wheelbase Range Rover as it has been the more popular model in the US over the long wheelbase. The option to choose the Autobiography trim adds $48,000 to the base model price and the only engine you can opt for in this trim would be the 4.4-liter V8. Although, this might change as dealers will soon offer the Autobiography package to the base model Range Rovers with the 3.0-liter engines. This 4.4-liter V8 will cost $14,700 extra if you were to put that in the base model Range Rover. Other extras part of the Autobiography model include laminated front and rear side glass, Autobiography exterior package, and black brake calipers.

The P530 AWD engine is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo beast that produces 523 horsepower and a maximum torque of 533lb-ft. This engine will drive all four wheels and sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. There is no official release from Land Rover in terms of fuel mileage or emissions but we might see some pretty odd numbers. Keep in mind Mercedes killed all V8 engines for 2022 in accordance with the shortage of microchip supplies, and if all things remain the same in the supply of microchips, getting hands on a V8 Range Rover will be more expensive than the sticker price because of high demand.

Once picking the Autobiography trim the option list packs almost all the premium features Range Rover can carry. The Autobiography is the best model to choose because if we were to put these options on a base model with a 3.0-liter engine we would end up on the same sticker price. Why not get that 4.4-liter Range Rovers are well-known for. Optional features can be added such as colors, wheels, and extra dealer-installed features.

Shadow exterior pack blacks out all the tiny pieces in Graphite Atlas such as front bumper grille blades, hood and tailgate lettering, and mesh ingots. This shadow pack will add $1000 more to the total price of the car. SV Bespoke 23" wheels in silver with gloss dark-grey contrast come at an extra $2,000.

Blacking out the panoramic roof will cost $1,000 as well. 24-way heated and cooled seats carry hot stone massage and executive-class rear seats, this is a must-have option for the new Range Rover, costing $3,800. Buyers also can pick 5 different wood trims for their interior, each gives a super unique look, and choosing between the color scheme is free unless buyers pick the black birch veneer.

A deployable side step kit does not come standard but it can be added at an extra of $4,200. The grand total of building the new Range Rover with the equipment listed above is $179,450 but keep in mind that there is a towing package that can be added at $750, a heated windshield for $350, a full-size spare at $550 and Advanced Tow Assist for $450. These spike up the price to $181,550, and that's before you even consider the dealer accessories.
