Perhaps one of the best things about owning a Chevrolet Corvette, be it a regular edition or a ZR1, is the customization that is available on one of these cars. There are plenty of options both from the factory and aftermarket to allow you to upgrade it to your hearts content. At a recent trip to the National Corvette Museum, Chevy Dude on YouTube was able to go and check out one of the most modified Corvette ZR1s in the world.

Yellow Paint Belies A Highly Customized Corvette

Whilst it might not look highly modified when you see the generic yellow paint, if you check out the headlights on this car you will see quite clearly that they are Lamborghini inspired headlights. They certainly look like they belong on the Corvette ZR1. Moving to the back, we can see that this is a convertible ZR1 with the ZTK package which adds the very high rear wing, that looks pretty damn incredible. But under the hood is where the coolest changes lie.

The Engine Of This ZR1 Was Built Up By The Owner

The engine is actually built by the owner, as part of the Engine Building Experience. On this ZR1 is a pretty hefty supercharger with a nicely dressed up engine, and some very nice hydro-carbon pieces fully on show. The supercharged emblem is across the hood as are the ZR1 badges which look epic. This is engine 41 of 45 built up at the Engine Building Experience in Bowling Green, Kentucky. A few shots inside the car show off the epic Morello Red interior, with plenty of ZR1 logos throughout the interior, such as on the seatbelts.

Manual Transmission Makes This Car Even Rarer

What makes this car even rarer is that it is a manual transmission convertible, something that you don’t really see on the ZR1. There is plenty of hydro-carbon along the bottom of the drivers seats and when we look on the inside of the doors there are more ZR1 logos, and more carbon fiber across the dashboard and quite a crazy yoke steering wheel that looks out of this world on the ZR1 and was custom-made. These are just a few of the epic modifications made to this ZR1, and the full video is certainly worth your time.
