Ettore Bugatti was an Italian designer and creator of the most luxurious cars in the world. He was born in 1881. At the age of 17, he designed his first car and received a gold medal for it at an exhibition in Milan. For his successes, he gained a reputation as a serious and outstanding industrialist.

The Bugatti trademark today belongs to Audi and falls under the Volkswagen umbrella. Recently it became a part of Rimac and all these acquisitions and mergers have only strengthened the reputation of the French sports car maker.

The Bugatti EB 110 was presented to the public on September 15, 1991. This large-scale event took place in a luxurious setting between Versailles and the Grand Arch of Défense in the French capital. The model was a combination of great specifications and a unique design. The Bugatti EB 110 GT even surpassed everything offered by Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini in terms of design, performance, and reputation.

A fundamentally new and unique V12 engine was developed by the team of engineer Nicola Materazzi. The volume of the engine was 3.5 liters and produces 553hp. Its capabilities allowed the car to accelerate to 209 mph.

The gearbox was designed with Porsche's help and the super-powerful brakes were created by the famous components company Bosch. Michelin had to make special tires for the EB110 that could withstand speeds of over 186 mph and provide excellent grip under prolonged extreme loads, both on summer and winter tires.

To test the engine's maximum performance at 95% rpm, the vehicle underwent 300 hours of dynamometer testing. Also, by order of the Bugatti company, the engineers prepared a carbon fiber monocoque for the supercar. This is a one-of-a-kind material that is much lighter in weight than all naturally occurring aluminum alloys or steel but is not inferior in strength to them. However, it is a lot more expensive. During testing, 12 prototypes of EB 110 were used. The designers were able to compress the working aluminum of the machine block in a ratio of 7.5:1.

Another feature of this car is its design. Bugatti's trademark has always been the classic design of its engineered models. It was assumed that by the anniversary date of the birth of the founder of Bugatti, the car would not contradict the traditional style.

But the one-and-a-half-ton Bugatti EB110 GT unexpectedly got the appearance of a wild, unbridled beast, which, by the way, did not affect the popularity of the brand in any way.
