Nissan finally unveiled the new Z Proto, which ultimately previews its upcoming 400Z model. People were excited that a new Z sports car is coming, but some have qualms about the Z Proto's design. An automotive rendering artist named Al Yasid used his skills to fix those design "glitches" and rendered his own spectacularly amazing Proto Z version.

How Z Should’ve Looked Like

Al Yasid – whose widebody Nissan GT-R rendering was previously featured on HotCars – posted on his Instagram account (@yasiddesign) 3D-rendered images of his Z Proto. He has so far created three versions, but it was the third set of rendering that caught our eyes. At first glimpse, it wouldn’t be a surprise if someone exclaims, "This is what the Z Proto should look like!"

From the front end to the rear section, Al Yasid managed to fix things that some Z fans and enthusiasts are complaining about. It's not that these people don't want a new Z, but they somehow see the prototype as less aggressive and more bland in design. It's hard to blame them for their misgivings.

Nonetheless, it's also hard to blame Nissan for the design of the Z Proto. After all, they went through a lot to ensure that the latest Z would have a design that harkens back it to its legendary past. However, the historical link was too obvious that it doesn't seem to look at the future. The Z Proto simply lacks the aggressive character that sports car prototypes have.

Here comes Al Yasid's graphic creation. His Z Proto version features a slightly longer front section, a longer front bumper, new headlights, and a new front nose. It also dons a widebody kit with sporty fender flares and borrows the rear window louvers from the Fairlady Z.

Tantalizing Color Combo

Furthermore, the color scheme of Al Yasid's Z Proto rendering is just as tantalizing. Its metallic burnt orange and metallic gray combo blends well with carbon fiber parts. Overall, this is how a Z should look. Technically, it isn't too late for Nissan either.
