Hyundai is one of those automakers with vehicles that gearheads don’t often see as viable options. Of course, Hyundai makes awesome rides and covers practically all sections of the car world. However, these vehicles aren’t known for their impressive speeds, nor do they have those sweet engine sounds most gearheads crave.

The company will soon introduce the Hyundai Ioniq 6, which is an electric vehicle. The upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 6 is a stylish car that proves the company means business in its attempt to continue its ascent to more customer demand. Not only that, but it’s also one that, if guesses are correct, has more than enough power to make gearheads grin from ear to ear.

People are talking about the Hyundai Ioniq 6, and for great reason. Electric vehicles are the future as more automakers promise to deliver more of this environmentally friendly way of driving and luckily, this new Hyundai is a spectacular option in what will soon become a crowded market.

Hyundai has not confirmed many details surrounding the exact performance details for the upcoming Ioniq 6. However, there are a few educated guesses. First, we expect the Ioniq 6 to come with at least two options for electric motors. The first is a single motor, and the second is a dual option. We believe these are the primary motor options based on the beloved Hyundai Ioniq 5. The single-motor Ioniq 6 will have a maximum output of 225 horsepower, and the car will be rear-wheel drive. For the version of the vehicle with dual motors, the maximum output is 320 horsepower, and it’s an all-wheel drive vehicle. For those craving more power, some rumors suggest the existence of an edition of the car with a maximum output near 576 horsepower. If true, this car would be the Ioniq 6 N. The automaker has not confirmed this, but we certainly hope it’s true, as it would match the output of the Kia EV6 GT.

The battery in the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is more than likely a 77.4 kWh unit. This is a typical battery pack for vehicles of this class, and it’s capable of 800-volt charging. According to Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 is a breeze to charge due to the Electric Global Modular Platform. This battery pack can regain 10-80% state of charge in only 18 minutes. Potential buyers should know that they must use a 250kW or higher charging station for that level of recharge.

Hyundai has not stated the official acceleration times for the Ioniq 6. However, we expect a 0 to 60 mph time in under 5 seconds. We believe this performance figure because of other rides with the same potential motor. As for range, the Ioniq 6 should be able to travel 379 miles on a single charge.

One thing we know for sure regarding the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is that this is a truly stunning vehicle. This upcoming Hyundai has a futuristic design for both the exterior and interior. The automaker accomplished this design feat without making the car too weird for the masses to enjoy. However, it’s still a vehicle that aesthetically moves the industry forward and sets a new tone for Hyundai as a company. As the automaker states, everything about this car makes a lasting impression. The design team created it based on aerodynamic principles, it has crafted contours, and according to Hyundai, the vehicle comes with 700 LED pixel lights.

The automaker describes the interior of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 as being “cocoon-shaped.” The car has room for five passengers, and it has ample technology. It comes with two touch screens; both are 12-inch displays. One is for driver information, and the other is for the infotainment system. Besides this, the car features ambient lighting and a pretty awesome steering wheel design. Overall, the Ioniq 6 has a sleek and modern interior that will make any gearhead happy.

New vehicles are exciting. This is especially true when the car in question is actually really good. Unfortunately, one of the reasons people are apprehensive about buying EVs is that they are sometimes dull. Luckily, vehicles like the Ioniq 6 are changing the unsavory reputation of electric cars. Though we don’t know the exact specifications of the Hyundai Ioniq 6, the automaker has created a vehicle that will enhance its reputation and help show the world what a well-designed EV can accomplish. The upcoming Ioniq 6 may not be a Tesla, but it’s still an excellent option for anyone who wants a non-internal combustion engine vehicle.

According to Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 will debut in 2023. Interested buyers should know that this car, at least at first, will have a limited production run. In other words, if you want the Hyundai Ioniq 6, you’ll need to act fast before they sell out. The automaker did not state precisely how many units it will produce.
