Tom Brady and David Beckham are birds of a feather in rather different flocks. Both termed as footballers, the two athletes practice their sport in very different ways. One carries the ball around while fighting similarly sized “bullies” while the other kicks it around trying to get it into a net. What’s more interesting is, this weird similar-dissimilar relationship has trickled down to the cars they fancy.

While both of them have a knack for speed and power, Tom prefers a few laid back, inexpensive rides added to his still not so humble collection. Compare that to the extremely extravagant and flamboyant David Beckham who won’t relent denting his bank account (as if he could), to drive a Bentley straight out of fiction.

And that’s why these two have been pitted against each other. Who made a better try or scored the highest in his garage? Read on and see your winner.

10 Aston Martin DB11 – Tom Brady

Tom Brady's Aston Martin DB11

Well, Tom tries to be humble. But not so much that he can still pull up in an Aston Martin DB11. Aston Martin has been top of its class in manufacturing cutting edge luxury sports vehicles for not only the GT enthusiasts but also James Bond fans.

This particular Aston Martin, the DB11, has been termed the most efficient and powerful model of the DB series ever produced, according to Aston Martin. And for Tom Brady, getting this car was less of having a fat account than being the Aston Martin brand ambassador, which added him even more dough.

9 Rolls-Royce Ghost – Tom Brady

While the Aston came thanks to an endorsement, the Rolls-Royce had to leave a mark in his account. Tom Brady proudly owns a Rolls-Royce Ghost that costs a royalty-penny $400,000. Seen in it a couple of times with his wife, Gisele Bundchen, and their three kids, the 562 horsepower luxury car is one of Tom Brady’s favorites.

Thanks to its 6.6L V12 engine that outputs an impressive 575 ft-lb of torque, the Rolls-Royce Ghost perfectly blends power, speed, and comfort – exactly what this car was made for.

8 2015 Chevy Colorado – Tom Brady

This is where Tom eats his humble pie. While David Beckham would likely not visit a Chevy dealership for this ride, Tom Brady is not ashamed of his trucker side and as such was a proud owner of a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado.

Was? Yes. He did give it away in the most humble of ways, according to Cars Direct, which is why this car can’t miss in this list.

Back in 2015 when Brady, once again, won the Super Bowl MVP award for the third time, a young cornerback rookie named Malcolm Butler was the guy who saved him from a last-minute shambles. The young man played an impressive defense after he blocked a goal, at the line, during the last seconds of their game with the Seattle Hawks.

A few days after the match, the lad, who’d never owned a vehicle worth over $8,000, was gifted Tom’s $35k Colorado by the man himself.

If you were waiting for a fast machine, this is as fast as Tom’s garage can get. The 458 Italia, at its time of launch and prime, was the most expensive sports coupe ever sold at a showroom. And that, on top of its utterly ridiculous top speed of 210mph, is among the reasons why Tom Brady decided to buy this beauty.

But that’s not where the ridiculous numbers stop. The 458 Italia does 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds and is powered under the hood by a 4.5L V8 Ferrari F136 F engine, that churns out a whopping 562hp.

From super-fast to super slow oh-my-word-my-dentist-drives-this kind-of-car is as quickly as Tom’s garage can deteriorate. However, the word is his wife is lesser a fan of big horsepower and ridiculous speeds enough to punch a hole through time. Rather, she prefers slow riders and this Japanese take on leather and wood interiors.

The 2010 Lexus GS450S, is among the humblest of vehicles in Tom Hardy’s garage. Still labeled a luxury sedan, by “middle-class standards”, the GS450S scores averagely on all scores, which makes people wonder why someone worth over a hundred million dollars would drive one.

5 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe – David Beckham

For David Beckham, nothing on his list will be humble – and you can tell from the start already. Inarguably the “bad boy” within soccer circles, David Beckham is prone to making bold statements like this one from a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe.

Officially the most expensive model in the Rolls-Royce family ever sold in its year, according to Top Speed, this bulging muscle of metal was bought in black and custom fitted with some aftermarket parts. Beckham is a huge fan of this V12 powered machine that he’s been spotted several times driving top-down with his family.

4 McLaren MP4-12C Spyder – David Beckham

From a Rolls to a McLaren is as quickly and extravagantly you can switch cars in David Beckham’s garage. Still, in his trademark black color, the MP4 12C is one of Beckham’s most good-looking vehicles.

This particular Spyder version is said to sell for $319,000. And that’s for a very good reason. Just like what they did with the iconic McLaren P1, the MP4-12C borrowed formula 1 tech and brought it to the production line. Under the hood is a powerful 3.8L V8 capable of churning out 616hp. On top of that, the sinister all-black tone that Beckham chose for this ride made it look even more powerful, quicker, and worth a million bucks.

3 1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello – David Beckham

Back when “Brand Beckham” was taking off, Posh decided to be a little bit posh and grant her celebrity husband and footballer a Ferrari 550 Maranello. Yes, this was way back in 1998, when the Maranello was considered the best driver’s car from Ferrari.

And sure enough, it deserved that title. Under the hood was a 5.5 liter V12 capable of producing 458bhp. And unlike the front-engine Ferraris that prefer having the power unit at the back, this one was a front-engine which gave its rear even more character.

2 McLaren 720S – David Beckham

The 720s was McLaren’s statement that they know how to combine style and sheer raw power in one wholesome package. And for the becks, that statement hit home loud and clear. Packed with a 4.0L V8 capable of producing a mind-blowing 700hp, the 720S can do 0-60mph in under three seconds and top the speedo at 212mph.

Given they previously bought the iconic MP4-12C, David Beckham upgraded to the 720S as soon as the car dropped into the showrooms. Previously, he had been captured taking a drive in the snow in the iconic McLaren 570S.

1 Bentley Mulsanne – David Beckham

A Rolls-Royce and a Bentley are the statements of a rich man. And just like the rich do, David Beckham prefers to be chauffeured in this one.

After Bentley released the Mulsanne as its flagship vehicle back in 2010, the Becks were quick to add it to their collection. While the 6.5L V8 can be enticing to put your foot down on, David instead prefers riding at the back with his family. And in the classic David Beckham move, he chose the car in black, despite Bentley offering him 114 different color options.
