When a Polish woman saw some pictures of Hank fooling around with the Polski Fiat 126p, she decided to gift him one and her hometown, the city of Bielsko-Biała, Poland also chipped in to make it happen. After flying in the car to the US, chosen officials from Poland gifted the car to Hanks in 2017, after getting it refinished in white by the BB Oldtimer Garage of Bielsko-Biała.

The pint-size little car features rectangular headlamps with black housing, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror as well as rear quarter-panel vents. The emergency lights and turn-signal lights are also functional. What makes this car special is the “Bielsko-Biała for Tom Hanks” and “One of One” badging on it.

This rather special Fiat 126p is up for sale, offered in California by the seller, on behalf of the actual owner, Tom Hanks. There is no reserve on it, and the lucky buyer will get the car with driving gloves, recent service records, and a clean Idaho title redacted in Tom Hanks’ name.

All the sale monies, including the Bring a Trailer buyer’s fee, will go to charity. Hanks will donate the proceeds to the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and its Hidden Heroes Campaign, which is a nonprofit organization chaired by Tom Hanks.

As per the Bring a Trailer link, “it provides resources and support to military caregivers—the spouses, parents, and loved ones who care for wounded service members or veterans at home.”

For those interested in owning a cool piece of automotive history, with a celebrity connection to it, this is a great opportunity. At the time of writing this article, the current bid stood at $15,000 with eight more days left to bid on this white car with a beautifully redone custom interior. With a rear-mounted 594cc twin mill, this car is not about the destination, but the journey, peppered with some Tom Hanks dreams.
