British Chef Gordon Ramsay, it's safe to say, is regarded as the forefront face of all things culinary. He's a legend, an icon, one of the truly great chefs of our generation. He's inspired millions through his shows, books, and restaurants, his restaurants receiving countless Michelin stars and praise from critics around the globe. And of the thousands he's worked with directly, no doubt, they'll all say he had a significant influence on them, the vast majority for the positive.

Updated February 2022: The hardest working chef in the industry continues to have one of the most extraordinary car collections. While cars come and go, Ramsay has undoubtedly added some great new models since this article was initially published. In light of the excellent new vehicles the chef has added to his collection, we've updated this list to include some of the coolest!

He's kept over 90% of the staff he's hired throughout his entire career. Despite this, he's probably most famous for his endless swearing and screaming, especially for those who've only seen his nastier side on shows like "Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares." But behind his shouting and swearing, it's easy to see that he's most often trying to help the person or persons in question, motivating them to be all they can be and pushing them to be more than they ever thought they could be.

He challenges kitchen cooks beyond what they ever thought they were capable of doing, and he does so in a way with instructing and teaching in mind. Due to his wild success the world over, Gordon Ramsay has quite a lot of money, which he's worked extremely hard for. And like many famous and wealthy people, he has his very own car collection. This man knows how to pick cars, and he's especially fond of Ferraris. Let's look at 15 vehicles from Gordon Ramsay's collection from the kitchen to the garage.

Running a successful kitchen is a team effort. Yet, even the most team-oriented people need a break from time to time. The BAC Mono that sits in Gordon Ramsay's collection is the perfect excuse to go for a drive without anyone's company!

The BAC Mono is a racecar built for the road. Incredibly streamlined design joins weight reduction in what is undoubtedly one of the most fantastic cars in Ramsay's collection. Just like the master himself, the BAC Mono goes for simplicity to make the most significant impact. It features a turbocharged GTDi inline-four to produce a whopping 340 horsepower propelling a shell that is a mere 1220 lbs! The BAC Mono is an excellent addition to Mr. Ramsay's fantastic collection.

When you're the most famous chef on the planet, precision is the number one skill. It's no surprise why Gordon Ramsay has the McLaren Senna in his collection. This car is as close to perfect as you can get! The McLaren Senna also tops $1,000,000, making Ramsay an exclusive company. McLaren limited production to only 500 units. Further, each unit is hand-built, a display of the dedication to the precision of the Senna.

In addition to the McLaren being a luxury staple, it's also fast! It comes packed with a 4.0L turbocharged V8 pumping an incredible 789 horsepower. Ramsay expects the best and has added the best to his collection!

13 Ford GT

The British Chef doesn't stick to solely European cars, as the 2019 Ford GT is proof of American supercars making the collections. The GT is so good, in fact, Car and Driver called it "the razor's edge of automotive design." With a review like that, Gordon Ramsay took notice. With a collection stocked with European supercars, the inclusion of the Ford GT shows the dedication to high-quality regardless of origin.

The Ford GT is a beautiful machine. It has a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission good for 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. The GT can hit 60 in just 3 seconds upon launch, proving American muscle has as much skill as a Ferrari.

Gordon Ramsay is one of only 150 people in the world to own one of these incredible Ferraris. The Aperta is a convertible version of the Ferrari LaFerrari, the million-dollar-plus hybrid hypercar that blew drivers and consumers away with its astonishing performance, handling, speed, and raw power. It was hinted that Gordon Ramsay was getting this car on the opening episode of Top Gear well before Ferrari even announced they were making a car like this. And Gordon was happy to get it, too, as you can only imagine.

The next in our long list of Ferraris owned by Gordon Ramsay is the F12 Berlinetta. A beautiful machine created by one of the actual great car companies, this V12-engined sports car boasts an incredible 731 horsepower and will sell for just over $300,000.

It's worth it, though, as this car can seriously perform, with responsive handling and class-leading performance through and through. While it may not technically be called a supercar, it has a Ferrari badge on it, which means that you're going to get a lot of bang for your buck.

10 Ferrari 430 Scuderia

The Scuderia is a purebred Italian supercar if there ever was one. It's also an upgraded version of the Ferrari F430, which is already a high-speed car.

The Scuderia is almost $100,000 more than the Ferrari 430, which is a staggering amount of money. But it's worth it because of what you get. It's nearly 200 pounds lighter than the 430 with 502 horsepower, making it quick. It'll get to 100 mph in just over 7 seconds, and it has a faster overall top speed at 198 MPH. What an insanely fast and beautiful car!

9 Ferrari 812 Superfast

This car pays homage to a vehicle they built in the fifties: the 4.9 Superfast. This car came out when Ferrari was celebrating its 70th anniversary, and this is indeed another one of the great Ferraris created. It seems Gordon Ramsay doesn't just like the idea of a Ferrari because he has the money for it; he seriously knows what he's doing, picking only the best and finest Ferraris.

The simplest way to put this: the Superfast is insanely fast, like 211 MPH top speed fast. It lives up to its name and even exceeds it. And the 812 Superfast does it all with a beautiful V12 engine!

8 Ferrari 458 Italia

One of the most vital points on the Ferrari 458 Italia is the handling because it features a tuned chassis with magnetic shocks and an electronic rear axle differential. The handling is exceptional on this car, with insane amounts of grip in the corners and under power. It's ideally suited for a twisty mountain drive over the Alps and into the South of France, which we're sure Gordon Ramsay loves doing with any of his Ferraris when he has a long weekend—living the dream.

The 550 Maranello that Gordon Ramsay owns was gifted to him in 2000 by his wife, who bought the car as a surprise for Gordon after he had won his first three-star Michelin award. That's a pretty cool gift to get from your wife when she knows you love Ferraris and when she knows how important cooking is to him. Plus, look at this thing—it's stunning. It has a smooth, timeless styling that won't ever get old. It's a great car, too, with a thumping V12 that produces a thrilling 485 horsepower. We bet Gordon was utterly thrilled to have been given this car.

Here's another one of Gordon Ramsay's Ferraris, and this one, too, has a great big 5.7-liter V12 engine in it, up there with the best of Ferrari's front-engined supercars. This supercar model has 540 horsepower and has proven to be one of Ferrari's most practical options. It'll make it to 60 mph in about four seconds, which means that Gordon can still have fun driving with his kids, screaming with giddy laughter in the backseat as he floors it. That seems like something he would do, especially when they're late for school.

5 Ferrari California T

How does this look for a stylish, powerful, classy cruiser? The Ferrari California T is the perfect car to drive around L.A. while filming Hell's Kitchen. It is sleek, convertible, and fits right in with the Hollywood Elite. This slim and sporty convertible hides a 552-horsepower twin-turbocharged intercooler V8 that'll propel you straight to 60 in around three seconds.

The California T is kind of like the entry-level car that people recommend buying as a first foray into the Ferrari world. It's pretty insane that this kind of performance is available in an entry-level sports car.

4 Bentley Continental GT

Gordon Ramsay loves his Continental GT. He says it's his only respite during his hectic and stressful days in the kitchen. He likes to take the long way home at the end of his day just to have a bit of time to unwind in the unbridled luxury and comfort of the Bentley Continental GT.

This car has excellent performance, too, even though it's on the heavier side due to its class-leading luxury. This car has up to 700 horsepower, all coming from a W12 engine.

3 Aston Martin DB7

It's rumored that Gordon Ramsay doesn't like his Aston Martin DB7, and it's hard to say why. Aston Martin is a British sports car company specializing in making high-speed supercars that look incredible, have insane amounts of class, and cater to your needs as a driver. They have such a classy reputation that they've been used as James Bond's go-to car. And if James Bond doesn't know what elegant or refined is, nobody does—not even Gordon Ramsay. But it's safe to say that this car looks great and is classy even if the Chef hadn't liked it.

2 Porsche 911 Turbo

via caranddriver.com

The 911 Turbo was one of Gordon Ramsay's first cars after he started having great success as a chef. It's an excellent choice for a car, too, because Porsche makes incredible machines—there's no doubt about it. And they're pretty affordable compared to other supercar companies.

What you'll get for a fairly reasonable price tag is a rear-engined, powerful sports car with absolutely incredible handling, great performance, great durability, great practicality, and a huge measure of fun, especially in the corners.

As we near the end of the list, it's pretty easy to see that Ramsay has good taste in cars.

1 VW Golf VR6

This one of the first cars that Gordon Ramsay ever bought for himself. It's a fantastic little car, too. The Volkswagen Golf TDI VR6 is a hot hatchback that every other hot hatch wishes it could be. This little car had incredible performance with a fabulous V6 engine that produced 200 horsepower—quite a lot for a small, zippy little car that was more of a daily driver than anything else. We personally would love to own one of these little Golfs because they really are endless fun.
