However, this top 10 list is all about pure, unrestrained speed. The slowest car on this list hits 191 mph, which should speak for itself. So, sit tight and enjoy the 10 fastest sports sedans in the world.

10 Alpha Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

Upon its debut in 2016, this Italian sports sedan surprised everyone with its power and competence on the track. With a base MSRP of roughly $73,000, this is not just another basic Alpha Romeo. In fact, its performance could arguably command a much steeper price. In 2016, the Quadrifoglio shattered the previous track record at the Nürburgring by clocking in at only 7 minutes and 32 seconds.

The featured twin-turbocharged 2.9L V6 is not large, yet it is so fabulously efficient that it develops 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. It shuttles this midsize sports sedan to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and propels it to a top speed of 191 mph.

9 2019 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid

At roughly 16.5 feet and over 5250 lb, the Panamera is the largest car Porsche produces, so it's astounding that, despite its size, it's also one of the fastest. The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will soar to a top speed of 192 mph.

What could propel this road yacht to such speeds? The answer lies in its groundbreaking hybrid 4.0L V8 that churns out a combined power output of 677 horsepower. Aided by a hybrid electric powertrain, the car also produces enough torque (626 lb-ft) to launch it from 0-60 in just 3.2 seconds, leaving most supercars in the dust.

8 Maserati Quattroporte GTS

Its emblem stands for supreme performance and luxury, and its name means Four-Door Grand Turismo Sport. The Quattroporte comes out of the factory a beast; however, in this version, it presents the pinnacle of Maserati four-door performance cars.

Under its elongated bonnet, the company hid a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V8 producing 530 horsepower. Fighting for traction with its rear wheels, the Quattroporte GTS will accelerate to 62 mph in 4.7 sec, but its speedometer will continue to steadily ascend until it reaches a top speed of 193 mph.

7 Mercecdes-AMG GT 63 S

When Mercedes was designing the GT 63 S, they resolved to create a sedan of unprecedented power and performance. They arguably succeeded, and the new GT 63 S, as some of the other cars on this list, would go on to take the lap record at the Nürburgring race track, beating the Alpha Romeo Quadrifoglio by over 6 seconds.

The company also succeeded in making a monster. Thanks to its 4.0L twin-turbo V8, the GT 63 S is capable of producing 630 horsepower and a monstrous 664 lb-ft of torque, warranting an incredible 3.2 second 0-60 time, and a top speed of 196 mph.

6 2019 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan

Speed is definitely not the first thing that comes to mind when we think about Cadillac, yet there's the new CTS-V Sedan, and it's lightning fast. To make this the fastest and most powerful Cadillac ever created, the company fitted this inconspicuous sedan with a massive 6.2L turbocharged V8 generating 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque.

Apparently, $86,995 will buy you an 8-speed automatic four-door that will take you from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and carry you to a speed of up to 200 mph.

5 Jaguar XE SV Project 8

It takes one look to realize that this is no ordinary sports sedan. Based on the company's midsize Jaguar XE four-door, the XE SV Project 8 has been massaged for every last drop of performance. The result? A $187,500 sedan with a world record Nürburgring time for a four-door under its belt.

The XE SV Project 8 still holds this record and is still the most powerful Jaguar to ever come out of the factory, boasting a 600 horsepower 5.0L supercharged V8. It will do a 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 mph.

4 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

In 2015, the famous all-American muscle car name Dodge revealed the most powerful sedan that had ever been built, and they called it the Charger SRT Hellcat. The beast that lies inside the hood of this appropriately-named car is a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8.

To uncage it, a separate red-colored key is needed, and doing so will boost the Hellcat's power output from a "tame" 500 horsepower to an unbelievable figure of 707, allowing it to leap a quarter mile in 11.8 seconds and touch a top speed of incredible 204 mph.

3 Aston Martin Rapide AMR

Based on the Rapide, the AMR is the angriest luxury sports sedan to ever come out of Aston Martin. Everything that made the Aston Martin Rapide a fast luxury sedan was re-engineered to make the AMR even faster, more agile, and more aerodynamic.

As a result, the AMR sits even lower and features added bodywork components such as sills, a rear diffused, and a carbon fiber spoiler. Inside the bonnet is a naturally-aspirated 6.0L V12 engine producing 603 horsepower and 630 NM (465 lb-ft) of torque, which is enough to propel this car to an incredible top speed of 205 mph.

2 2020 Alpina B7

Although it may look fairly similar to a regular BMW 7-series, the resemblance ends there. Sitting comfortably at number 2 on our top 10 list, the Alpina B7 is a true 4-door performance miracle.

To provide maximum agility and stability when dealing with high power streams coming from the engine, the B5 features an all-wheel drive powertrain. This is necessary given the stampeding 608 horsepower introduced to the shaft by BMW's tuned bi-turbo 4.4L V8. The results? A 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of no less than 205 mph.

1 2020 Bentley Flying Spur

Not many car companies can combine thrilling performance with supreme luxury as well as Bentley, and their all-new 2020 Flying Spur indeed lives up to its name. According to Bentley, the car is a significant step up from the previous models and features a monstrous 6.0L twin-turbocharged W12 TSI pumping out 635 Horsepower.

Pushing the pedal hard enough will unleash the otherworldly 664 lb-ft torque, which is more than necessary to make the new Flying Spur weighing 5372 lbs "fly." What will all this power do its speed? Break records, it seems. The Flying Spur is able to jump to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and soar to speeds in excess of 207 mph.
