The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is one of the more compact offerings by Mercedes-Benz and has a fairly long history. The revamped W205 Chassis introduced several new changes that involve many benefits, but the most prominent is the interior.

The interior that Mercedes-Benz has been using on many of their models is among the best, with an attractive arrangement and high-quality interior materials. Performance isn't all that remarkable until the AMG trims, but the C-class delivers on luxury better than rivals.

Genesis has been trying very hard to get the industry's attention, and they have knocked it out of the park with G70. The G70 tries to take on the Mercedes-Benz C-class and BMW 3-series and succeeds at balancing both' positive traits.

The G70 has a very nice interior fitting for this class, a powerful 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and impressive handling. A manual transmission is even available with the 4-cylinder engine for enthusiasts. For those who don't mind the lack of brand recognition, the G70 will impress.

The Audi A6 is one of the most handsome options with understated, sleek styling that oozes class. Some may not like the somewhat subdued styling versus styling that's ostentatious. Interior quality is one of the best attributes of Audi, as every inch looks gorgeous.

The engines offered are a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a turbocharged V6 engine, a 444 horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 engine on the S6, and the RS6 has the 592 horsepower twin-turbo V8. Handling is quite good, and technology is top of the line for the class.

7 BMW 5 Series

The BMW 5-Series is a difficult contender to beat, as it has it all, not just what a luxury car offers, but what most look for in a car. It has some of the most advanced technology, impressive performance for the size, and great looks. The image of driving a new BMW 5-series helps as well.

Five engine options depending on the trim and can range from 248 horsepower with the hybrid system up to 617 horsepower on the M5 Competition. It handles well for its size and even as a luxury car. Once you move up to the M5 and M5 Competition, it's definitely more of a performance car than a luxury car.

6 Genesis G80

The Genesis G80 from 2020 is the last year before a major redesign, but the 2020 model is by no means an outdated vehicle. While the G80 has decent handling, it focuses on luxury with a comfortable ride and more subtle looks. The G80 Sport trim adds a bit more excitement to the mix with an adaptive suspension and more aggressive looks if that's your preference.

The G80 offers three engine options: a naturally aspirated V6, twin-turbocharged v6 engine, and a naturally aspirated V8. While the V8 is the best option for its smooth operation and satisfying power, the hefty price premium may defer some. Overall the G80 does well and is worth consideration.

5 Porsche Panamera

Many consider the 911 to be the best of all Porsches, but one model that offers a lot of what the 911 has in four-door form is the Panamera. It's a larger vehicle that comes with the benefits of spaciousness but still handles well with its Porsche roots. Interior materials are top-notch, and technology is expensive. Then again, it's expected with this price range.

Six different engine options range from a 330 horsepower turbocharged V6 engine all the way up to a twin-turbocharged V8 with an electric motor that makes a total of 677 horsepower. Needless to say, there are plenty of options depending on the buyer's needs.

4 Audi A8

The A8 isn't quite as popular as the BMW 7-series and the S-Class, but it's still a frontrunner. The A8 is a bit cheaper than its German competitors but has a lot of the major benefits. It is quite spacious, well-appointed, and offers the smooth ride expected of this class.

There are three different options: a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that makes 335 horsepower, a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes 453 horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 563 horsepower in the S8. Fuel economy is the worst in class. The S8 gets an average of 16 miles per gallon on average.

3 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The S-Class is the pinnacle of luxury. It's widely considered the best offering of quality, technology, and comfort offered at the time. The AMG trims offer a lot of the best performance as well. The interior is stunning, the ride is as smooth as can be, and it's a legend.

The S-Class has five engine options starting from 362 horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 in the S450 and goes all the way up to the top-of-the-line 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine in the S65 AMG. Every trim of this vehicle is excellent and offers nearly unmatched luxury.

2 Tesla Model  S

The Model S  is an interesting luxury vehicle as it is a mixed bag of luxury car qualities. Unlike most luxury brands, Tesla is known for having poor build quality, massive panel gaps, and terrible fitment issues. While the interior has good interior materials, it has a minimalist look, which isn't exactly luxury.

However, the Model S has several options that have a 100-kilowatt-hours lithium-ion battery with two electric motors. The ludicrous mode on the Model S Performance brings the 0-60 time down to 2.3 seconds, which is unbelievable. All in an extremely quiet package and that certainly gives an experience that feels luxurious.

1 Porsche Taycan

The Taycan is another luxury electric vehicle with awe-inspiring performance. It's a better luxury car than the Model S, but it's questionable if it's a better electric vehicle. That doesn't detract much as the Taycan has a gorgeous interior, lots of technology, and incredible handling that's true to a Porsche.

The Taycan's two electric motors make 522 horsepower in the 4S trim, 670 horsepower in the Turbo trim, and 750 horsepower in the Turbo S. 0-60 happens in 3.8 seconds for the 4S, 3 seconds for the Turbo, and 2.6 seconds for the Taycan Turbo. The Taycan somehow does it all, and for $200,000, you get exactly what you deserve.
