The recent model of the Toyota Tacoma features a V6 engine, which can top 278-hp. The V8 engine that was fit into this Toyota Tacoma model could multiply that top horsepower by more than three times.

The V8 NASCAR engine in the Tacoma manages to increase its horsepower to 900, which is simply astonishing. To hit 900-hp, the Tacoma screams to a whopping 10,000 rpm.

The experiment on Tacoma was not even at its full potential. Yes, the driver did floor the accelerator, but it was not hitting its absolute limits. Therefore, the V8-powered Tacoma might even be able to push more than 900-hp, which is unheard of for a mid-size and mid-range truck.

Managing to pull off 900-hp in any truck is outstanding, let alone a truck that is typically capable of offering less than a third of that. Imagine what the future of Tacoma would be capable of if Toyota took this design and remodeling as inspiration for their future trucks.

Fans of this NASCAR V8-powered Toyota Tacoma might be wondering who the masterminds are. The team at DeBerti Shop was behind this creation and immense idea. They are popular for creating some incredible modifications for motorsports.

The aim for this Tacoma was to perform and participate in everything that the truck isn't made for. Its addition of the V8 engine makes it perform accordingly for rallycross to drifting.

During designing and building, the team took it upon themselves to retain only some parts of the body of the original Toyota Tacoma. The only remaining parts were the doors and the roof. Instead of appearing as most Tacoma's do, the remodel saw the truck transform from an ordinary-looking truck to a monstrous design. It won't appeal to all truck lovers but for those who love a ride that looks as beasty as it can perform, this custom design will satisfy those.

The Tacoma in the video shows a brand new model that witnesses a complete redesign.

Most other features were custom-built to align with the new performance expectations that the V8 was set to deliver. The team even manages to get the Tacoma to perform 74 degrees of steering, which is ideal, seeing as many customers claim that the truck has steering issues.

What's more, is that the custom Toyota Tacoma model was in the designing and building process for just 90 days. It was a quick turnaround, and the remodeling hit every one of the team's expectations.

The designer takes it upon himself to test drive the Tacoma and show off what it can do, which blows the socks off of both him and the face of the AutotopiaLA.

Inside, viewers will witness all custom features from three seats and a totally unique yellow dashboard. It is custom made in every way apart from the doors and roof, which takes the Tacoma model from standard to something that you will never see from Toyota themselves. It is pretty fun to remodel and redesign a truck like the Tacoma, seeing as it is one of the most popular trucks in America.
