The Toyota Venza is technically a cooler-looking and bigger version of the Toyota RAV4. While it does have a sleek design language, this Toyota gets lost in the sea of ever-increasing mid-size SUVs out there. So, standing out is a major factor for any new cars in this segment. In terms of performance, the Venza locks horns with the Honda Passport and the Nissan Murano.

But because of how aggressive its segment is, it also has to face the cooler likes of the Ford Bronco, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the three-rowed twins from South Korea - Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade. So, things can get tough pretty fast. But Japanese tuner Modellista is here with a solution to make your Venza look sassy among the competition.

For now, the bodykit is out for the Japan-spec Toyota Harrier which is what the Venza is called in the east. So, don't get confused if you see us mentioning both "Harrier" and "Venza" in this article. Modellista's body kit focused more on the PHEV models that launched recently, but we, in The US, get the standard hybrids only. But that won't be an issue, since the makeover of purely aesthetic inside-out.

And it would easily fit onto the US-spec Venza. There are some very cool elements in the body kit that utilizes LED lighting and adds more drama to Venza's visual appeal. While the Toyota Venza is not much of a beater, Modellista's body kit sure elevates its appeal with insane looks.

Japanese Tuner Modellista shows us how the Toyota Venza can look way cooler with its custom body kit package.

Modellista has given the Japan-spec Toyota Venza, called the Harrier, quite the sharp makeover with its bodykit. At the front, the bumper is much larger with an integrated splitter. To go along with the moderate flow of chrome of the stock layout, the custom front bumper gets chrome elements towards the bottom section.

Modellista also goes the distance to incorporate LED DRLs into the front bumper that has a design layout, similar to the LED DRLs in Venza's headlamps. Coming to the sides, the tuner gives the Venza a chunky set of skirts that reciprocates the beefier front fascia.

The side skirts get a contrasting shade of silver for added drama. This silver element can be seen on the lower section of the front and rear bumpers as well. The rear fascia follows the same aggression as the front. The extended rear bumper is garlanded with a cool set of quad-pipe layout that looks cool. There is a subtle play of chrome, similar to the front fascia.

Apart from these standard body kit components, Modellista also offers a slew of optional features. These include a hood garnish, a front grille garnish, a mirror garnish, a rear third quarter garnish, and a tailgate garnish. A cool set of 20-inch custom wheels and an illuminated front grille can also be added to amplify the Venza's visual appeal even further.

Modellista has also managed to bring about a refreshing change to the Toyota Venza interior. Most of the mods are subtle, but they do bring about a notable change in the layout. Starting with the ingress, the front doors get a welcome illumination light that is by far the coolest we have seen.

The cabin gets a blue does of ambient lighting in the center console and as a mart foot light. The door trimmings get uplifted with a metal garnish kit that has the texture of brushed aluminum.

This makeover of the Toyota Venza/Harrier by Modellista is strictly aesthetic with a few electronic touches with the lighting options. The powertrain layout remains untouched. This body kit is currently for the Japan-spec Venza, called the Harrier. A new PHEV version was recently unveiled in Japan. The plug-in layout increased the power to 302 horses which is sure to make it a lot more exciting. But we currently only get the standard hybrid of the Venza in

The US which churns out 219 hp from a 2.5-Liter inline-four and three electric motors. It comes with standard AWD and has quite an athletic nature. Modellista's bodykit has been designed keeping the Japan-spec PHEV model in mind. Thankfully as there are no powertrain upgrades involved with Modellista's creation, it won't be an issue to slap them onto the standard hybrid models that we get here in the States.

Modellista has a decent set distributor base in The US, and we think that the bodykit will be across the pond in no time. As the Toyota Harrier for which the bodykit is designed is literally a renamed version of the Venza that we have here, fitment is not going to be an issue. As for the pricing Modellista hasn't revealed much about it. But with the tuner's track record, we are sure that the bits and pieces will be on the affordable side.
