The Cars Make For An Unusual Drag Race

In this quarter-mile race, a Turbo Can-Am goes up against a beastly sports car, the Chevrolet C7 Corvette. They look totally unconventional to race against each other when they sit at the start line. Not only does the Turbo Can-Am boast huge 32-inch wheels, but it also has no windows. Fans of these vehicles would expect this, but a classic Corvette going up against the likes of an ATV is quite rare.

The Turbo Can-Am can often hit a top horsepower of around 200, which is fairly punchy from its Rotax Turbo RR engine. Moreover, the Chevrolet C7 Corvette features an all-new LT1 6.2-liter Small Block V8 engine that develops 455 horsepower. Therefore, the Corvette already has a huge advantage.

After joining one another at the start line, the Turbo Can-Am gets off to an incredible start by throwing some wheelies and almost keeping up with the C7 Corvette. The cars go full-throttle for the entire time and hardly leave each other sides. Nonetheless, the true winner is, of course, the one who manages to keep up a quicker speed for the entire quarter of a mile.

The winner is the C7 Corvette, with a time of 11.5 seconds at a speed of 122.73 mph. The Turbo Can-Am does manage to keep up quite well yet doesn't quite get there. It hits the quarter of a mile mark in 12.17 seconds with a top speed of 81.33 mph. The Turbo Can-Am offers an amazing effort but the C7 Corvette has a huge advantage with its huge engine and immense horsepower.

In summary, the unconventional drag race is entertaining, to say the least. Seeing these cars fight each other in a drag race is something you don't see every day. The Turbo Can-Am gives it a good go by keeping by the Corvette's side. However, the C7 Corvette manages to come first with an incredible time.
