On this latest episode of Drag Racing and Car Stuff's YouTube Channel, we're graced with some true legends of the strip. We are usually quite pleasantly shocked at some of the times these vehicles can pull off. In the recent video, we see some great drag race challenges with a 2JZ Lexus IS300, a turbocharged Chevy Silverado, and many others at the Rockingham Dragway in Richmond County, North Carolina.

Work Truck Vs Classy Lexus

Our first race pits a single cab, turbo Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck against a 2JZ-powered Lexus IS300. Our video begins at the six-second mark as the Chevy truck is warming up its tires. Smoke flows from the wheels in an impressive display. The Lexus however, does a little spinning but wastes no time and gets to the line. The race begins at the 15-second mark when the truck jumps off the line and is practically a car length ahead already before the Lexus even moves. In an incredible feat of engineering, the Chevy Silverado roars past the finish line in 10.034 seconds at 137.37 MPH. The Lexus finishes second with a very respectable 11.151 seconds at 127.91 MPH.

Our next race puts our winner from the previous race against a much larger competitor. While our hero truck is setting himself up in the left lane we stare in awe at what is a supercharged Dodge Challenger 392. The truck keeps his burnout to a minimum compared to his previous run but the Challenger rips the asphalt up in a blind fury of tire smoke. The two take off simultaneously with the truck just a hair quicker off the line. In an awesome turn of events, the truck wins the race with a very consistent time of 10.050 at 116.45MPH while the supercharged Challenger receives a second place to the truck with a 10.967 at 126.12 MPH. Very impressive.

Our sand color turbo Chevy Silverado has made it to the big leagues in the final drag race of the video. This time he is against a nitrous boosted second-generation Chevrolet Camaro similar to this 1977 Camaro. They line up at the 1:17 mark of the video after warming up their tires. At 1:26 both vehicles set off like rockets and the front end of the Camaro lifts off the ground and it takes an early lead. Once the Silverado's Turbo kicks in though he slowly but surely regains the lead. The truck finishes with the best time of the day with a 9.849 at 139.54 MPH and the Camaro with a 10.027 at 124.90. This was amazing to watch our underdog beat all these other cars. Brings home the feeling that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Great job Silverado!
