When we think of iconic American sports cars, one vehicle we instantly gravitate to is the Dodge Viper. The Viper remains one of the most loved performance cars in American history and many of us lament its passing. However, we can all still get a kick out of its performance levels. YouTuber Turbo Richie Rich has a TT Calvo Motorsports ACR Extreme Aero Dodge Viper. In this video, he gets it out on the streets to break records and show off just what it can do.
An Update On The Viper
The video serves as an update to Rich’s viewers on the Viper and he was able to get it to do some Dragy pulls on the street. The biggest update he shares is that he was able to set the rear-wheel drive 60-130 record for the street with the car, surpassing all expectations for Rich for the car and the build he had in mind for it. The car is not just a fast street car but something he could go to dinner in while making some crazy pulls along the way. We get some great clips of the 2017 Viper in action doing its pulls and it goes from 60-130 mph in a blistering fast 2.93 seconds.
Getting Faster And Faster
On top of that, the car is able to go from 100-150 mph in 2.32 seconds, another incredible achievement. We get some more pulls of the car as it is able to go from 60-130 in 2.95 seconds and another pull comes in at 2.96 seconds. Rich says that he thinks the car has more left in it, so these pull times could get faster. He also says he has gone faster than in those clips but he’s keeping the times a secret for now.
A Potent And Powerful Viper
What is very impressive is how the Viper can do these pulls multiple times reliably. It is not a one-hit wonder of a car and that is what it is all about in reality. We also get a clip of the car going up against a Lamborghini in some pretty spicy footage. It gives us an idea of what those cars are capable of and where the Viper stands next to those cars. With that in mind, the performance of the Viper is still highly impressive.
