If there is one constant in this world, it is that everything is subject to change. Over time, few things will resemble what they once were years ago, including various jobs and industries. A great example of this can be seen today with the phasing out of Taxi services in favor of businesses like Uber.

What makes Uber so great, though, is how accessible it is for everyone, including drivers. The difference between taxis, however, require Uber drivers to use their own vehicles. As such, it's important to find a reliable, fuel-efficient, and spacious vehicle for yourself and your passengers. To help with the car-finding process, here are 10 fuel-efficient cars that would be great for Uber and LYFT drivers.

10 Chrysler Pacifica

Now, if spaciousness is right up there with fuel-efficiency for you, then what better category of vehicle to buy than a van? For the best of both worlds (Space and good M.P.G), consider the latest Chrysler Pacifica.

For a minivan, the Chrysler Pacifica has an impressive fuel-economy. With a city rate of 19 miles-to-the-gallon and a highway rate of almost 30 miles-to-the-gallon, the Pacifica will be able to drive around several passengers without breaking the bank.

9 2019 Honda CR-V

There's a reason why so many consumers flock to brands like Honda. They make outstanding cars that will last a lifetime, while simultaneously not costing a lot and having top-of-the-line M.P.G.

A great example of this is with Honda's newest CR-V. Like the previous iterations, the new CR-V is a compact SUV with an M.P.G. that fluctuates between 28 and 35 miles-per-gallon. It wont't be as much room as the Pacifica or Odyssey, but it'll certainly do the job well (And look good doing it).

8 2019 Chevrolet Malibu

When people think about mid-sized vehicles that can save on gas consumption, they'll usually gravitate towards hybrids, small compact cars, and foreign vehicles. In reality, though, American carmakers like Chevrolet makes outstanding versions of their own; such as the 2019 Chevrolet Malibu.

The Malibu has been in Chevy's lineup for almost as long as the company has existed. To this day, it remains a reliable sedan that can accommodate a whole family and save money too. The average M.P.G. for the 2019 Malibu is around 36-highway.

7 2019 BMW 320i

Japanese and American car manufacturers aren't alone in their pursuits to make fuel efficient and affordable vehicles. One of their biggest competitors, as it turns out, is that of the German powerhouse: BMW.

BMW's latest 3-series is, perhaps, one of their most accessible and ecologically-friendly sedans they've made to date. Their smallest and best fuel-economy is that of the 320i: A two-liter four-cylinder turbo that can produce over 260 horsepower stock. As far as fuel-efficiency, the 320i sits comfortably at 26 to 36 M.P.G.

6 Kia Niro

2018 Niro

Compared to other vehicles on this lineup, the Kia Niro isn't the most well known. This, however, doesn't mean the Niro is a bad car. Far from it, actually, as the lack of popularity means you can get a great vehicle for a low price.

The Kia Niro is your basic compact-SUV; fitted with all the modern amenities you'd expect in a brand new car (And some). Even though the Niro is an SUV, it still manages to keep the M.P.G. high; up to 52 miles-per-gallon! Needless to say, that's more than enough efficiency to help any full-time Uber driver make ends meet.

5 Toyota Prius

As much as it pains a fellow car enthusiasts to admit, the Toyota Prius really is one of the best, most fuel-efficient, vehicles Toyota has ever made (Or just about anything currently on the market).

Since the Prius took to the streets, it has been hailed as one of the best cars to buy if you want to save some dough on fuel. With an M.P.G. fluctuating between 50 to 54, the Prius becomes the cheapest and most accessible hybrid/ecologically-friendly cars one can buy. Not to mention the fact that it will also hold a family of four easily.

4 Ford Fusion Plug-In Hybrid

Once again, American car makers have thrown their hats into another industry ripe with competition: Hybrids. After the Prius revolutionized the consumer's view of hybrid-technology, it was only a matter of time until G.M. did the same.

One of the newest attempts at the hybrid field is Ford's Plug-in Hybrid Fusion: A sedan for the everyman. It isn't fully electric, so drivers will still be focusing on paying for fuel. However, it will be significantly less than most other choices; leaning closer to the Prius' range rather than the Pacifica's.

3 2020 Honda Civic

In terms of fuel-efficient, reliable, and cheap cars, none take the trophy quite as well as the Honda Civic. Throughout the Civic's production, they've been known worldwide as "THE" sedan that everyone could buy.

After 2015, the Honda Civic got a facelift and upgrades. What came of that is the generation of Civic we see today; coming standard with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo that makes over 130 horsepower and nearly 40 M.P.G. What makes it great, though, is the fact that it only cost about $22,000 and drives with quality.

2 2019 Toyota Camry

For a long time, the Honda Civic reigned supreme over Toyota's Camry and Corolla. Now, however, Toyota is fighting back with their new and improved 2019 Toyota Camry.

The simplest way to describe the Camry is a Toyota version of the Honda Civic and Accord. It's, basically, setup in a similar manner: A huge focus on fuel-efficiency, space, and comfort while not compromising on costs or build quality. For around $24,000, you can have the Camry's 40+ M.P.G. highway all to yourself.

1 Tesla Model 3

You could, of course, go the normal route of trying to find a cheap and reliable car with a reasonable fuel consumption rate. On the other hand, you could do what more and more consumers have: Move to electric. Obviously, the most prominent electric car company out there now is Elon Musk's Tesla, particularly the Model 3: An electric car for the price of a normal sedan (~$35,000).

If you choose this route, you'll never have to pay for gas again. And you won't be sacrificing luxury or spaciousness for the privilege of going electric, either. For Uber and Lyft drivers, what better option is their than to never have to spend a dime on fuel again. Less cost equals higher profit margins, after all.
