There is something truly awe-inspiring about The Grand Tour show on Amazon. The episode when the trio went grand touring throughout Italy gave us a few ideas of grand touring on our own, but why not take it a step further? What about an ultimate grand touring adventure?

Becoming acquainted with the particular culture if the country being visited and seeing the planet on a long trip is admirable. Note that this is not a vacation planner. These are merely ideas of grand touring that one could take in order to see the world and learn things about different countries. Let's take the ultimate road trip to the next level with these grand tours.

8 Alaska to Argentina Grand Tour

Picture this. A trip from the northernmost tip of America (located in Alaska) to the southernmost tip of South America (located in Argentina.) In between driving to each country capital in a GT car. The car of choice is a fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.

It is a grand tour that can last a couple of days to a few weeks depending on what people want to see. For us, this idea would be the greatest trip to do. Sure, there will a few times where a boat or ferry ould have to provide transport possibly, but it will surely be a trip worth taking. Who else will say they have done it?

7 United States Grand Tour

Most people leave their home country in search of learning about other countries before knowing or seeing what their land has to offer in everything grand touring. There has been a route made up by professionals who believe that they created the ultimate road map to see the entire United States of America.

We would take them up on it and try it out. But of course, we would use an American sports car. Mentalfloss.com took to finding the information out of this road map and its creators and gave the specifics. It seems like plenty of fun, so why not give it a shot? A trip worth taking, we say.

Locating a starting point could be random here. Following the same type of format, the North and South American has, this grand tour will hit the scenic views of what the continent has to offer, visit the capital cities, and learn the way of life. The car of choice would be a European grand tourer of the sort.

Probably a BMW would be a suitable choice. There might be parts of the trip to hire security but that will have to be checked on a daily basis. The desert, pyramids, and way of life in Africa will give people a better appreciation for life and also find the world a more beautiful place.

5 Russia to South Africa

We have heard some people taking great journeys but this one might take the cake. Over 14,000 and over 200 hours between Saint Petersburg, Russia to Port Elizabeth, South Africa. This is a trip that can be done for a longer time to see what west Russia, and partial through continents of  Europe, Asia, and Africa have to offer the world.

The sights not everyone gets to see and the stories not everyone gets to hear. Driving from Russia to South Africa would be a great feat for anyone up for the journey. The car of choice would definitely be a European GT car. Maybe something of the likes of an Aston Martin.

4 Asian Grand Tour

Asia is the largest continent on the planet. This means it has the most to offer views and cultures. From the Great Wall of China to the Ha Long Bay in Cambodia to the Taj Mahal in India, these sights are beautiful and historic.

Along the way, visit the capitals of each country to get a better sense of how the culture in that society is. A car of choice for me would be the Mercedes-Benz GT. A smooth and comfortable ride but can be great for mountain roads.

3 Japanese Grand Tour

Japan and its islands offer more than just Japanese culture and lifestyle. There are beautiful scenic roads and mountains that not everyone gets to see. But there is also plenty of roads to drive where Japan gets its name for the street drifters that are born there. These roads are in the mountains. Driving them should be fun, but racing on them would be dangerous.

This grand tour would also include driving on every island and getting to learn more about Japanese culture than what people learn from just books. The car of choice for me on this grand tour would honestly have to be no other than the Nissan GTR. All-wheel drive and the heart of the car is made in Japan. To choose something else would just be insulting.

2 European Grand Tour

Grand touring started in Europe after all, so why not tour the entire continent? From the south of Spain to the Scandanavian countries in the north the tour can be done in a few weeks or longer if someone really wants to learn as much as they want to about the many European cultures.

Visiting the cities of Europe will be a great history lesson that is interactive which is helpful for people who don't like school. Also, there are many sights to see such as the beautiful Alps along the travels. A car of choice for this grand tour would be something European. Maybe the Jaguar F-Type since it provides great comfort and is agile when needed.

1 Australian Grand Tour

The Land Down Under is a country that offers plenty of views and culture to learn about. One of the great views is the sacred rock formation of Uluru and as for driving, the Great Ocean Road that has scenic views and historical landmarks. There is also the Sydney Opera House, Fraser Island, and Great Barrier Reef.

A trip that can take a couple of weeks to finish will be greatly worth it. The best car for this trip would most likely be a Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport. It is sleek, surprisingly comfortable, and can get by on the highways.
