When the British luxury automobile manufacturer Jaguar announced the first SUV in 2013, the public was quite surprised, to say the least. Why would Jaguar make SUVs when its sibling Land Rover already does that successfully? Well, it seems Jaguar recognized the need to have at least one high-end SUV in the lineup to satisfy the growing customer demand, much like all the other luxury brands.

Jaguar's effort to make an exotic sports-utility vehicle resulted in the F-Pace. Car-like more than any Land Rover SUV, the F-Pace was built on the Jaguar F-Type, a sports car with a beautiful body. Naturally, it came out with stunning looks and immediately drew the eyes of the public on itself.

The F-Pace models were meant to be luxurious and high-performing since day one of production. Jaguar made this dream a reality, that's for sure. However, it also put a hefty price tag on its design, pushing people to seek the F-Pace on used car markets rather than the official website.

Those who want to save a couple of thousands of dollars (or even more) may find a used F-Pace perfect for their needs. We scanned the market for worthy models and gathered critical info to help all the Jaguar fans find their way when planning the next purchase.

How Much Will A Used Jaguar F-Pace Cost You?

Let's start with the thing that probably interests you the most - the price. The Jaguar F-Pace launched this year comes at a starting price of $50,900. Naturally, you can build up the check significantly when adding features and specs.

When it comes to the previous models and their original MSRP, things were pretty similar a few years ago. Jaguar charged at about $45,000 for every previous model. Special trims and advanced features were available with every one of them, which further increased the price. You could easily get up to $80,000.

Luckily, one can save quite some money on the used car market. You can find a well-preserved F-Pace at about $40,000 without paying any extra expenses. The 2017 and 2018 models even go at around $35,000. The 2019 and 2020 models may turn out a little pricier but will still save you a couple of thousands of dollars in total. We spotted some real gems on sale that require no maintenance and go well below the manufacturer's initial price.

A Look At The Most Recent Jaguar F-Pace Models

2017 And 2018

The first F-Pace came with two engine options. Drivers could choose a standard four-cylinder engine with 180-hp or a V6 with an impressive 340 or 380-hp. Without a doubt, the latter provided much more in terms of power and performance. The good thing is, all models came with eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive.

For 2018, Jaguar added more options to the F-Pace standard engine. Drivers could choose a supercharged 3-liter V6 engine with 380-hp or a 2-liter four-cylinder one with 247 or 296-hp.

All Jaguar F-Pace models are compact luxury SUVs with gorgeous looks on the road. They appear super sporty when in the move but sacrifice little to practicality. You can still enjoy the comfort of decent dimensions inside. The F-Pace also packs a number of features and quality materials inside, which stands for both 2017 and 2018 models. The latter only offers a few extras for enhanced comfort.

2019 And 2020

Nothing has changed over 2019 and 2020 regarding the already existing engine options. What came as a much-praised surprise is an optional supercharged 5-liter engine that can output 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. The (pricey) trim with this engine can also develop 60 mph in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 176 mph, which is super exciting for such a compact SUV.

In terms of interior, Jaguar made the optional features from the 2018 standard in 2019. These mainly include driver-assistance elements such as automated emergency braking and lane-keeping assist. Of course, extras such as Apple Car Play and Android Auto were made optional only to become standard in 2020.

Last year, Jaguar improved the bits of the F-Pace interior, including materials and features, to look as presented in the photo above. Essentially, the SUV became even more luxurious and appealing.

What Can You Expect From The Used Jaguar F-Pace?

The Jaguar F-Pace on the photo above is the newest 2021 model. Undoubtedly, it's a shiny SUV with even more impressive features you can order straight on the official website. However, some Jaguar fans may not have over $50,000 (and some more) for their new SUV.

The F-Pace models from previous years are still hard to beat in specs and performance compared to the competition of the same class. Most of them are also available in good condition on the market. We provided a basic overview of the models to give you a sense of what you can expect from the used SUVs. Considering all these models are still pretty young, you don't have to worry about the miles, big dents, and similar.

The only tricky thing could be finding the model with the desired engine and features. Considering you don't get to choose the specs you want like on the Jaguar's website, you may need to look for your preferred trim for longer.
