The Ford Mustang Mach-E is the first publicly available electric Mustang SUV, and it's set to arrive in late 2020. The car comes with all sorts of drive-modes, and Ford has put together a handy little video to showcase all three that come in the car.

The Car's Driving Modes

To access the vehicle's driving modes, you press the car icon in the top left of the car's center console, which certainly has Tesla vibes to it. Here is where you see the three drive modes, with the screen defaulting to this menu. The modes are Engage, Whisper, and Unbridled. No, there is no ludicrous mode like there is on the Teslas! Each of the modes offers very different driving experiences to suit whatever driving needs you have, making it one more reason to add to all the other reasons why you should get the Mustang Mach-E.

Oh, and make sure Auto Ambient Light Selection and Propulsion Sound are in the on position, which is located at the bottom of the drive modes screen. Engage softens the ambient lighting to a soft blue and offers the most comfortable of the car's driving experiences. Whisper delivers a calm experience, gradual acceleration, and a relaxed driving experience. The ambient lighting is blue and the interior sound is off.

Finally, Unbridled. This allows for increased throttle response, a sporty steering feel, orange ambient lighting, and enhanced driving sound to give the ultimate driving experience. Each mode is very energy efficient, allowing you to get the most range out of your Mustang Mach-E.

The Mach-E Itself

The name Mach-E is inspired by that of the Mustang Mach-1, a variant of the first-generation Ford Mustang. It can output power from 266 to 459bhp, which is 198 to 342 kw. Its range is very impressive, offering anything from 210 miles up to a brilliant 300 miles. Or, if you want that in kilometers, 338 to 483km.

By definition, the Mach-E is actually a five-door electric crossover SUV. The car will officially launch as a 2021 model despite being publicly available in 2020. The hope is that the car will be more than a match for Tesla's offerings, who have certainly led the way with EVs in recent years.
