We all have a lot of respect for our first responders. They are all massive heroes and do all they can to save lives. And we have got an amazing video here for you today. A Brighton Post Trooper came across a semi and car that had crashed in icy conditions, sadly down to it simply going too fast for said conditions. And then what we see is an amazing act of bravery from the Trooper, right before things could have gone very badly, when said car caught on fire.

Michigan State Police Come To The Rescue

So let's run through the story. The Trooper was on patrol when suddenly, as the dashcam footage shows, he came across this accident on Ann Arbor Road over I-275 in Wayne County. A 56-year-old man was scarily trapped in his car following the accident with the semi. The Trooper calmly gets out, but then there is suddenly a huge sense of urgency. And if you want to watch the Trooper's brave actions for yourself, the link above shows dashcam footage of the incident. A big thanks to MSP First District for sharing this footage on Twitter! The Trooper deserves all the credit he can get for this incredible act of heroism.

Why is that? Well, as you watch the video, you will see it looks highly likely that there is a chance the car will catch on fire. Fuel, oil, and other fluids are sprayed across the road and the engine from the truck is also exposed. And with the driver trapped, there is just no way he can make a hasty exit from his crashed vehicle. So, our hero springs into action to try and help out.

The Trooper was able to pull the 56-year-old man from his car before it was fully engulfed in flames, and he is alive and in stable condition at a local hospital. The man was traveling with his grandson, a 5-year-old boy, and luckily, he too was okay and had just minor injuries. And as you can see from the video, it is a good job the Trooper turned up just in the nick of time as the car really did become utterly engulfed in flames.
