General Motors is readying the Cadillac Escalade V with even greater things, as is clear from the new video they just put up on Cadillac's Instagram page.

Not only have they put up a small clip where you can hear the roar of the Cadillac Escalade V, but there’s also a 15-second video where you can see it.

The First-Time Ever Cadillac Escalade V

General Motors is introducing a new high-performance version of the Cadillac Escalade SUV, giving its high-power gasoline lineup of vehicles a last hurrah before it all goes electric by 2030.

According to GM, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V-Series will “encompass the peak of Cadillac performance, bold, distinguished design, and innovative technology.”

While the new V-Series looks like the other Escalade SUVs, it will come with way more performance. If you listen to the Instagram clip, the sound of the engine is also more like a sports car than an SUV.

The V-Series Moniker By Cadillac

Traditionally, Cadillac’s “V” or “V-Series” has always denoted performance examples. When it comes to the Escalade V-Series, the same 6.2-liter V8 that powers the CT5-V Blackwing sedan will power it up as well.

The powerful engine jets 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque as opposed to the current Escalade that makes 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. More information will come through later this year.
