We join MotorTube YouTube channel in beautiful Detroit for a good ol' American brouhaha. This video promises three things — a 1,000 hp Trackhawk, a Dodge Hellcat, and embarrassment to one of the parties involved.

The Blue Dodge Hellcat From Heaven

The saying in Detroit is that Detroit hustles harder. This, of course, is in reference to the city's rapid economic decline. Although it is currently seeing some improvements, Detroit is a city of hardships.

Our host Ronnie tries to prove his struggle within the first moments of the video by showing us his “horrible luck.” While showing us his gorgeous blue 2022 Dodge Charger Hellcat, we can see that the top corner of the passenger's side windshield has a crack in it. This doesn't affect visibility since it is still in the glued border area, but since he is about to take on a 1,000 hp Jeep Trackhawk, perhaps Ronnie just feels like we should know all the imperfections that may affect his performance. Regardless, for the viewer, Ronnie will take this beautiful beast in conjunction with his hustle harder mentality and try to beat a Trackhawk.

A Hellcat, Two Camaros, Two Trackhawks, And A BMW Walk Into A Mexican Bar…

At the 1:50 mark, Ronnie meets with the crew in a parking lot, where he shows us a quick under-the-hood view of the cars present. The first car is his Hellcat, so he quickly jumps over that one and shows us the silver ZL1 Camaro, which is manual with a Roto-Fab cold air intake.

Next to it is a similar ZL1 in blue with the same intake and a “Maggie” (Magnuson Supercharger). Beside that sits a stock BMW M5 and a Dodge Durango SRT.

The last truck is the moneymaker — the white 1,000 hp Jeep Trackhawk. Ronnie will be racing this, the M5, and the manual Camaro and for this, he needs to go to “Mexico” which luckily the video description tells us is for filming purposes only. The video's done with a green screen and is highly edited. This is great news for the cars and drivers because the closest Mexican border town is a 32-hour drive from Detroit.

The Undisputed King Of Motor City

The races begin at the 2:48 mark in the video. The first challenger to the Charger (no pun intended) is the Jeep Trackhawk. From a rolling start, the Jeep just takes off as soon as Ronnie says “Go.” The Hellcat stands no chance against the Trackhawk. After trying again, even with a head-start, it is safe to declare the Jeep as the winner.

The next race pits Ronnie against the BMW M5, which he also loses. As he does, to the manual ZL1. Ronnie tells us that although the Hellcat was an incredibly fast car in 2015 unfortunately in 2022 it just doesn't cut it anymore. He does not consider this a fast stock car anymore. The new reigning king of Motor City then is the Jeep Trackhawk. We're not mad at that.
