Hennessey always does a great job of proving what the Texas-based tuners can do with some time on their hands. In the case of the HPE900-equipped Charger, the obvious choice for a compare-and-contrast has to be the Demon, which left the factory with up to 840 horsepower on tap when equipped with the Demon Crate package.
Supercharger Upgrade For The Charger
Specifically, the Charger in question here benefits from upgrades to the supercharger's upper and lower pulleys, as well as a ported supercharger snout, stainless long-tube headers, and high-flow exhaust components on back. Additional work includes high-flow fuel injectors and a revised intake system to feed the blower.
Proven Performance In A Roll Race
The Demon's status as the world's most fearsome factory drag racer remains unquestioned, but how does the worked-over Charger from Hennessey stack up in its new, modified form?
