Sports cars nowadays are getting not just more powerful, but also quicker and faster. A sprint from nil to 60 mph in under 3 seconds is now achievable, and even the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z51 can do it in just 2.9 seconds. The Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 can't be considered not quick, as it really is. Hennessey Performance, however, can make it even more astonishing with the help of its HPE850 upgrade.

Hennessey C7 Z06: Astonishing Both In Looks And Sounds

If you wanted some proof of the impressive nature of the Hennessey-tuned Corvette C7 Z06, the video above serves as welcome visual and acoustic evidence. It shows a Hennessey C7 Z06 (in maroon finish) blasting off as soon as it got a clear view of the long straightaway at strip.

What's more impressive is the growl coming off its LT4 (LT-4) supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine just as the driver pressed the pedal. It was a pleasing sound that lets you know that the Corvette C7 Z06 is working its way to speed on the road. It was roaring audio that helps people discern that this C7 Z06 isn't ordinary. After all, it's more powerful than before.

The V8 engine in a stock C7 Z06 (2015 to 2019) already delivers a very healthy 650 hp of max output and 650 lb-ft of torque. With the standard seven-speed manual gearbox, its 0-60 mph sprint time is 3.2 seconds, but with the eight-speed automatic transmission, the figure drops to 2.95 seconds.
