Being a driver is a different experience than being a passenger. There have been quite a few times when Shmee150 wasn't driving in his YouTube videos – such as when he cheered at the Nurburgring as a fanboy. In this instance, Shmee150 experienced riding shotgun in a modified Porsche GT2 RS Weissach sports car at the German Autobahn.
Taking Porsche GT2 RS to Autobahn
After doing a short introduction about the Porsche GT2 RS Weissach, Shmee150 – Tim Burton in reality – quickly hopped into the front passenger seat. The exterior and cockpit of the Porsche GT2 RS Weissach are enough to suggest that Shmee150 is about to embark on an adrenaline-filled trip that involves pushing the sports car to its limits.
If there's any road in Europe where you can push a car to its speed limits, it's the German Autobahn. So, the GT2 RS Weissach was taken to the Autobahn, where Shmee150 recently drove a Koenigsegg Agera to 200 mph. During the recent ride, the Porsche reached 186 mph with the utmost ease. However, there was a moment where the GT2 RS Weissach reached a top speed of 201 mph in just a few seconds!
Modified For Lightness And Power
This Porsche GT2 RS Weissach is the latest member of the famed GerCollector garage. Aside from being a GT2 RS with the full Weissach package, this sports car has been upgraded by PPPerfornance. Featuring a Ryft exhaust, this GT2 RS Weissach – built for the track – delivers more than 800 hp of max output and nearly 662 lb.-ft. of peak torque from its upgraded 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-6 engine.
Appearance-wise, this Porsche GT2 RS features a number of elements from the weight-saving Weissach package. Wrapped in PTS Vesuvio Metallic paint finish with red Alcantara interior and gold magnesium wheels. The light weight helped optimized the engine's power at full.
Speeding Up To 201 MPH
With such a massive power on hand, the Porsche GT2 RS Weissach easily managed to speed up on the Autobahn, even though its downforce-laden setup means it wasn't configured to be a high-speed machine. If not for this setup, the GT2 RS may have gone beyond 201 mph.
