Tim Burton or Shmee150 is known for his Shmeemobiles and his drives in them. In fact, a new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series will soon be one of them. While people know Shmee150 has a race-track ready Aston Martin Vantage GT8, it's rare to see him driving it for his adventures. But he just broken the status quo by taking the Vantage GT8 to a 500-mile trip to Germany.

Audio-Gasmic Vantage GT8

Shmee150 added this Aston Martin Vantage GT8 – in blue finish with several orange accents – to his collection around four years ago. This was when Aston Martin introduced a track-focused version of the V8 Vantage. Lighter than the V8 Vantage S, the Vantage GT8 is powered by a 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 delivering 440 hp of output and 361 lb.-ft. of peak torque.

According to Shmee150, while the Aston Martin Vantage GT8 isn’t the quickest car in his garage – his Ford GT was much quicker -- it's one of the most special and best sounding among his "Shmeemobiles". During his 500-mile trip, hearing the audio from the GT8's V8 engine and titanium exhaust is a pleasure.

Well-packed for the 500-mile excursion, Shmee150 started his drive expecting the trip to last around nine hours. He crossed the English Channel via the Eurotunnel train (Eurotunnel Shuttle). Upon arrival in France, he came to a temporary halt to better equip his Aston Martin Vantage GT8 for highway speed by installing carbon fiber front splitters.

Back to his Aston Martin Vantage GT8, Shmee150 sped through France, Belgium and the Netherlands. It was already dark when Shmee150 arrived at the German Autobahn. Seeing the opportunity to push his Vantage GT8, he opened the exhaust valves and sprinted on the Autobahn as the chance arose.

At the Autobahn, Shmee150 actually managed to log 274 km/h (170 mph) on his odometer. It's pretty fast considering that darkness had already wrapped the skies. Shmee150's might come back to the Nürburgring, a suitable place to further push his Aston Martin Vantage GT8 to the limits.
