The Mercedes-Maybach is luxury redefined. The latest of these is the new Maybach GLS 600. Thus, it's no surprise that wealthy people and celebrities are buying this ultra-luxurious, ultra-expensive SUV. It is worth it? Supercar Blondie's latest YouTube review of the opulent Maybach GLS 600 might provide the answer.

The Luxurious Maybach GLS 600’s Comfortable Ride

The Maybach GLS 600 is essentially a Mercedes GLS mixed with the opulence of an ultra-luxury sedan. Some exterior revisions were made to distinguish the Maybach GLS 600 from a typical GLS, including the grille and the wheels. Nonetheless, the primary focus is to make the interior as luxurious and as comfortable as possible.

To ensure that passengers enjoy high levels of ride comfort and agility, the GLS comes with newly developed E-Active Body Control suspension as combined with the Airmatic air suspension. It can control spring and damping forces at each wheel, and suppresses rolling, pitching, and lifting movements.

Low-Rider Action For Tight Situations

In Supercar Blondie's video, the Maybach GLS 600 bounced up and down like a low rider. However, this bouncing action isn't just for show. Such movement—called recovery action—is part of the Off-Road drive program of the E-Active Body Control, and it helps liberate the GLS 600 when it gets stuck in the sand.

The opulent GLS 600 also features electronically extending running boards fully integrated into the side sill panels. Invisible when retracted, these running boards make it easier to enter or exit the vehicle. These are just some of the high-tech elements found in the SUV, and more of them are found inside.

Luxurious Seats, Refrigerator And Dedicated Fragrance

For further luxury, the GLS 600 has two outer rear seats that can become reclining seats. Its padded areas and the dashboard are wrapped in fine Nappa leather. In Supercar Blondie's video, the Maybach GLS 600 has a fixed center console with space for champagne flutes and a refrigerator.

The Maybach GLS can also smell like new all the time. This is thanks to a dedicated fragrance: a white osmanthus blossom with a gentle leather note and spicy tea. However, all of this luxury doesn’t come cheap, as this Maybach GLS 600 costs around $260,000.
