Check out this supercharged Lamborghini Huracan Performante take on a tweaked-out McLaren MP4-12C in rolling races.

You don’t normally see supercars with upgrades on them. That’s normally because supercars are already made to be as good as the manufacturer can make them, so there’s very little room to improve. However, Lamborghini has a tendency to use naturally aspirated engines, so that means there’s always room for a little forced induction.

The Lamborghini Huracan 640-4 Performante started life with a 5.2-L naturally aspirated V10 engine. Power was rated at 631 horses and 443 lb-ft of torque. However, this model has a VF supercharger installed, which bumps that power to 850 horses. Zero to sixty climbs from 2.9 seconds to just under 2.5 seconds, which is approaching the realm of hypercars.

Meanwhile, we have the McLaren MP4-12C, the precursor to the 650S. Power comes from the same 3.8-L twin-turbo V8 that propels the 570S, but instead produces 592 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.

Or it would if this thing were stock. This McLaren has been given a water-methanol injection system from Adkin Industries that increases horsepower anywhere from 10-15%. It’s also been given a set of new Fabspeed catless downpipes, custom exhaust, and a DME tune.

Although we’re not given a total horsepower for the McLaren, we are shown a recap video that proves this MP4-12C can run a quarter-mile drag race in under 10 seconds.

The rolling races DragTimes shows here are on public roads, which makes them hella illegal and liable to be used as evidence in court if the drivers ever get caught. But until then, we can see how these two tuned supercars run with the speed limits ignored.

In the first race, the McLaren gets a great start and edges out the Lambo by half a car length, while in the second race the Lambo seems to get a head start. Even still, the McLaren manages to crawl its way back until the Lambo wins by what appears to be a quarter of a car length.

We’ll see these two square off in legal drag races later. Until then, let’s hope they don’t get arrested.
