Markus Flasch is a busy man these days. Since taking control of the helm of BMW's Motorsports division, he's been busy pumping out new models such as the M3/ M4 and the latest M5. He's now decided to tease us with a faster M5 CS.

In a short video clip on BMW's Facebook page, Flasch brings us to a showroom where standing behind him is the new M5 CS under a branded tarp. He goes into some technical details before pulling the cover in places to reveal certain details of the car.

The first thing Flasch shares is that the M5 CS will produce 635 hp. Presumably, this comes from the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 that has powered the M5 for two generations now. It's also an 18-hp jump from the M5 Competition, which already holds a 0-60 quota of just 3.1 seconds thanks to the trick all-wheel-drive system.

CS Means C-Ya

As with the BMW M2, the CS badge means this will likely be the final edition before a new generation model comes along. This means going all out in turning the BMW into the ultimate track weapon represents the best of the brand. In translation, it means CS badges in the kidney grille (and likely round back), gold-bronzed forged aluminum wheels that sit on stickier tires, exclusive carbon ceramic brakes with red calipers and—my favorite detail—yellow LED lighting in the headlamps.

The M5 CS also drops 70 kilograms (about 154 pounds) off of the M5 Competition, thanks in part to carbon fiber seats similar to the buck-toothed M3/M4 siblings. It's now a true four-seater that Flasch says is comfortable for adults.

The Cool CEO

Flasch says the yellow headlamps are a nod to the BMW endurance cars that partake in various racing leagues around the world. Speculating this as Flasch's own input, we would understand knowing that the CEO of Ultimate Driving Machines is a racing enthusiast himself.

Directly responsible for the rebooted 8 Series, Flasch spends his time between racing and traveling and more racing. You can follow his personal Instagram page for what the company is doing next. He's a cool CEO for also teasing the upcoming M3 Wagon by just reading a newspaper against the car with the trunk open.

Meanwhile, expect the M5 CS to make its full debut sometime in January 2021.
