Mat Watson and CarWowMat Watson and CarWow regularly do some epic drag races on their YouTube channel, and this latest one is no exception. Watson and his team have decided to bring together a Ferrari Roma, an Aston Martin DBS and a Bentley GT Speed, which Watson is driving, for a set of races. These are all pretty incredible cars, and this race could well provide some very interesting results.

The Three Cars Compared

The Bentley GT Speed has a 6.0-liter W12 engine which produces a fantastic 659 hp, and is all-wheel drive with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Aston Martin meanwhile has a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 715 hp, quite a bit more than the Bentley. It is rear-wheel drive and has an eight-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, and no launch control, unlike the Bentley. The Ferrari meanwhile has a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 620 hp, plus an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and launch control. So, onto the races. Race on sees the Bentley and Ferrari outdrag the Aston Martin off the line, with the Roma just inching ahead by the time they got to the end of the run.

Drag race two sees Watson get a much better start than in race one, and he is easily able to take the win from the Ferrari. The DBS though still sadly lags behind its two rivals. Watson’s better launch was thanks to him turning stability control off. They decide to go again for a decider and this time the Aston Martin is much more in the mix, but it's again between the Bentley and Ferrari. The Bentley just wins this third race, taking the overall win from the standing start drag races.

The next race the cars take part in is a rolling race from 50 mph, in comfort mode and automatic for the gearbox. Comfort mode really hurt the Bentley, the Roma, and DBS take off, and this time the Roma just edges out the DBS, but it was very, very close. Another rolling race from 50 mph with the cars in sport mode and third gears sees all cars pickup well, but the Ferrari beats both the Bentley and the Aston Martin. Finally, it is an emergency stop test from 100 mph, and the Bentley definitely lost, with the Aston Martin in second and the Ferrari won out with its braking.
