When it comes to video games, one of the most popular is Rocket League. Essentially, it is football for cars featuring various arenas available for players to compete in and a host of cars, upgrades, liveries, and more available for purchase for each car. Players can compete against AI, or host matches of their own with their friends. Rocket League has now announced that, as part of its Season 3 launch, which takes place April 7, they will be including both Formula 1 and NASCAR in the game, which themselves will be available in May.

Trailer For Season 3 Shows Off The New Additions

The game dropped a trailer for season 3 onto their YouTube channel. With NASCAR set to launch in mid-May, ahead of Formula 1, the trailer starts with the Ford Mustang NASCAR roaring past us before, ominously in the background, a Formula 1 car based upon the current generation of cars comes through as the two cars then fire a ball into the air. A regular Rocket League car watches on as the two newcomers make their mark.

These aren’t the only cars coming to Rocket League, though. They are also introducing Tyranno, a car of Rocket League’s own creation that is set to take on the might of the Formula 1 car and the Ford Mustang NASCAR. To add to these three cars, a newly redesigned DFH Stadium will be included, which now features an outfitted track designed to mimic all of the pageantries found trackside during a championship Sunday. This stadium will be available to casual and competitive players.

There are plenty of other exciting additions to Rocket League coming with Season 3 to keep players engaged. A new Rocket Pass Premium is coming with 70+ tiers of new items and new and exciting challenges are on their way. The main highlights for many players though are surely set to be the inclusion of NASCAR and F1, a very big step for the game bringing two of the world's most well-known racing series into Rocket League, fully licensed. Season 3 of Rocket League starts on April 7, with NASCAR and F1 coming in early and mid-May respectively.
