The Toyota Supra is truly a Japanese icon of its own. This why when Toyota announced the Supra was making a comeback, every fan was thrilled. For some, however, the thrill faded when they learned that the latest Supra is basically a twin of the BMW Z4. Nonetheless, older Supras still have that thrill. That Racing Channel experienced that when the owner of this 1,000-HP Mk4 Supra obliged to give them a ride while doing some pulls on the highway.

Heavily Modified Inside

Yes, this is an MK4 Toyota Supra built for the 1994 model year. While it looks like there have been no radical exterior modifications made, it's always a given to look beyond what you see when coming across a Supra. Looks can be deceiving, and other drivers might find it wise not to challenge this Supra to a drag race.

A Mk4 Supra isn't ordinary, but this drive owned by Bill of Moore Automotive is more than extraordinary. After all, this Supra has been tuned to hypercar levels – its 3.0-liter stock 2JZ engine has been boosted with a 76mm turbo. Bill went through the list of mechanical modifications on his Supra, and it took a while for him to finish up.

Clean 1,000 Build, At Least

This 1994 Toyota Supra build is pretty impressive, as its turbocharged engine could provide around 1,000 hp of awesome output. What's more impressive is that this Mk4 Supra is a super clean build! Of course, such power would be of great use when transferred to the asphalt.

Bill took That Racing Channel for a spin on the highway. While doing so, he made some quick pulls. However, it seemed as if Bill was short-shifting all the time; we couldn't hear the engine's expected big roar despite having a massive titanium exhaust. This led some viewers to speculate that the Supra might only be making 600 hp or less.

Still Impressive

Some viewers offered explanations on why this drive doesn't sound like a 1,000-hp Supra. Nonetheless, this Toyota is still an impressive Supra – one that could leave most cars behind.
