YouTuber Westen Champlin takes to the middle of a field in Kansas to race two of the industry's most powerful pickup trucks; the Ford Raptor against a Ram TRX, the super truck from Stellantis. Watch the clip to see these two incredible trucks take each other on head to head.

Acquiring The Special Edition Ram

Champlin purchased the orange TRX from a dealership in Colorado, battling a snowstorm to get there. Upon his arrival, he learns that due to the same snowstorm he has just weathered, the Ram has yet to arrive; the dealership then offers to deliver it to him instead. After getting his hands on his brand-new TRX, he attaches some horns to the front and predicts that it will handily beat the Ford in a race.

The specs of the TRX are impressive, distinguishing it as a unique truck with a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat engine that outputs 702 horsepower along with its 8-speed Baja transmission. With his prediction in mind, he heads out to the middle of a field in Kansas to stack the trucks against each other.

With his confidence in the TRX's abilities in mind, for the first bout, he gives the Raptor a 5-second head start, after taking off in the TRX to follow the Raptor, he describes the power in the TRX as “insane.” Despite the Ram's abilities, the 5-second head start proves to be too generous in the Raptor's favor, and the Ram does not catch it.

The second time around, the TRX and the Raptor start at the same time off the line and the TRX confidently leaves the Raptor in its dust, literally, a testament to its massive power specs and capabilities. With the starting times equal, the Ram lives up to Champlin's prediction of it beating the Raptor, though he does admit the Raptor outperformed his initial expectations.

Will The Ram TRX Do A Burnout?

After the race against the Raptor, he strives to complete a burnout in the TRX, but acknowledges the challenge given that the TRX is constantly in four-wheel drive. He quickly manages to get under the truck and disable the four-wheel drive, a configuration that Ram didn't intend on but maximizes what is already an insane level of power and brawn in this pickup. At a stoplight, he offers to race a Toyota Solara, the driver of which humorously declines. Eventually, he is able to complete a smokey burnout but realizes the truck will not do a rolling burnout, at which point, he pulls out his phone and makes a call to Hellion Turbo, which is surely a sign of things to come for this orange TRX.
