This hardcore Nissan 200SX hails from Poland, where Pawel Kalotka races it in the Drift Open Polish Drift Series with his Koala Drift Team. As the hardcore drift builds popping up online lately have shown, dropping in radically upgraded powerplants has become almost commonplace, making sports car platforms like the Nissan S14 exceedingly popular thanks to their neutral balance and rear-wheel-drive setup. But this 200SX takes things beyond even the most quintesential and popular American restomods thanks to a turbocharged LS1 V8 lurking under the hood. And Kalotka recently took it to KMS Engine for some quick dyno tuning to get it dialed in before his next time on the tarmac.

The aggressive build can be seen and heard roaring away in a video posted to KMS Engine's Facebook page. The hood and front bumper have been removed, giving a chance to check out the enormous powerplant underneath. The LS1 in question here displaces 6.3 liters and features ported heads, upgraded camshafts, 980cc injectors, plus an EMU Black ECU and MSD Street Blaster coil packs. The turbocharger is a CXRacing T76 unit that was pumping out up to 11.6 pounds of boost for this round of tuning, allowing for peak output of 695 horsepower and 628 lb-ft of torque.

That should be more than enough power to shred rubber like Ken Block, as proven by the little warning in the video's description that the smoke towards the end of the clip is a tire actually being destroyed. From other angles, it's clear that this build includes an aggressive suspension setup with bracing and external reservoirs for its shocks, while the whole car has been stripped and gutted to remove weight. The trunk also appears to house some fan units, perhaps for a rear-mounted cooling radiator to help clear up space in the little JDM coupe's cramped engine bay.
