The 1990s and early-2000s were a magical time for Honda, which designed and built legendary cars during the era that included the original NSX, the S2000, and the Integra. All of Honda's sports cars from the time were all about light weight, nimble handling, and respectable power. The S2000 was an engineering masterpiece straight from the factory with perfect balance and the world's highest specific-output inline-four engine mated to silky-smooth six-speed stick shift and a factory limited-slip differential.

As great as it was, though, the S2000 was never going to live up to the needs of serious speed freaks, though few would have the audacity to go ahead and drop in a massive 8.3-liter V10 from a Dodge Viper to remedy the car's perceived shortcomings. And yet, that's exactly what Francis Gosselin of Serious Swap in Terreborne, Quebec, Canada did with his Honda and now, it's shown up to do some awesome burnouts at drag strips.

Shredding Rubber For Ever

In a series of Facebook posts and YouTube videos, Gosselin's hardcore S2000 proves its mettle by shredding rubber at just about every opportunity. And that's to be expected given that the V10 sourced from a 2006 Dodge Viper produced over 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque from the factory—just about double what the S2000's screaming inline-four could manage. Even taking into consideration weight gains due to the massive powerplant, there's no doubt this S2000 is now much faster in a straight line than ever before.

How Did It Even Fit?

The fact that Gosselin was even able to cram the V10 into the S2000's engine bay remains an impressive feat, as befitting a guy who no doubt wants the car to serve as an advertisement for his talents given the livery and badging on the exterior. All that grunt, meanwhile, is routed to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed, a custom driveshaft, a welded differential sourced from a Nissan 350Z, and fully custom axles.
