Pickup truck enthusiasts have taken their love for these trucks to a higher level with the help of modification companies. Through modification, pickup trucks can now be customized for use in the military, for racing, fishing and a host of other functions. Here are some examples of these modified pickups that are aesthetic wonders.

10 Isuzu D-Max

Here is an awesomely modified Isuzu D-Max pickup truck credited to a Thailand-based modification company, Dam Auto Car. It’s quite intriguing seeing the South-Asians show their modification prowess and much more satisfying seeing the outcome.

This is a 2020 Isuzu D-Max that is fitted with wheels from Thailand’s Custom Wheel, a two-inch front lift & two-inch rear lift suspension system from Pro Comp, and a huge front grille for enhancement. It is painted in satin black giving it a fascinating exterior.

9 Roush Nitemare

Roush Performance is an American automotive company that specializes in the production of high-performance gears for street and racing purposes. The 2019 Roush Nitemare pickup truck is a highly modified Ford F-150 fitted with a recalibrated 5.0-liter V8 engine that has been tuned to produce 650 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque. Roush Nitemare is the fastest production pickup ever.

For enhancement, Roush fitted Nightmare with 22-inch wheels, new sport lowering kit, custom front bumper, and new front grille with lighting.

8 G-Class Pickup

It was impossible to find a Mercedes pickup truck with off-road capabilities anywhere in the world until Mani Kulasooriya decided to build one in 2011. Using a 2006 G500, Kulasooriya found a modification shop in the Netherlands that promised to bring his automobile dreams into reality.

Modifying this G-Class to a pickup required that its length be increased. To achieve this, the truck got the length of its hoses, cables, fuel lines and every other thing increased. It’s fitted with Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires giving it 18 inches clearance, and a modified exhaust. The customization is so good Mercedes had to acknowledge it.

7 Seeker Raptor

Motorseeker, a UK based vehicle styling company built this Seeker Raptor from a 2017 Ford Ranger. It’s a limited black edition four-door pickup powered by a 3.0-liter diesel engine producing 197 hp at 350 lb-ft of torque and controlled by an optional 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Seeker Raptor uses steel modular rims with cooper pro tires, an F-150 grill with matte finish, full chrome delete, and a black pack. Other accessories include tow pack, Seeker graphics pack, and black side tubes among others.

6 Militarized Ford Ranger

The Ford Ranger pickup truck has almost all it takes to be deployed for military missions. Knowing this, Ricardo, a British company built a modified militarized version of the model in 2019. Powering this truck is a 2.0-liter EcoBlue Biturbo diesel churning out a massive 213 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

This militarized truck is built with power bumpers, armored windows, and a turret. Also, it uses custom Fox off-road shock absorbers and a spring-hydraulic rear suspension with NATO green full body paint.

5 Toyota Hilux Tonka

Toyota Hilux Tonka Concept pickup truck is the ultimate automobile toy. Toyota, in collaboration with legendary toy maker Tonka, built this one-off Hilux pickup truck called the Hilux Tonka Concept to celebrate Toyota’s accomplishment of being the best-selling vehicle in Australia in 2016.

For this project, Toyota used the double-cab SR5 model. This model is powered by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 175bhp. The truck is raised to 150mm, uses heavy-duty off-road suspension and massive knurled tires.

4 Toyota Tundra Ultimate Fishing Truck

This is a custom build Toyota Tundra that has been fully optimized for the hardcore fishing experience. Britt Myers teamed up with CS Motorsports to bring this incredible truck from just an idea to reality. The Tundra Ultimate Fishing Truck is fitted with a retractable box, bulletproof lift kit, custom roof rack, and LCD monitors for the best fishing expedition.

Also, the truck comes with an upgraded brake kit, supercharger kit, high-flow exhaust structure, and some go-fast parts for driving in difficult terrains.

3 Ford Ranger Motion R Carbon

Thanks to carbon upgrades, this Ford Ranger has one of the meanest looks ever seen on a pickup truck. Project R Designs is responsible for this awesome customization job that has this Ranger fitted with arches wide enough for its 20-inch concave alloy wheels and off-road tires.

The truck is modified with a carbon grille, fender vents, restructured air intakes, custom bumper diffuser, and a total carbon fiber exterior making it one of the most unique off-road vehicles on the market.

2 2019 Ram 1500 Mopar

Aside from being a customer care, service, and parts organization for Fiat, Mopar also builds customized vehicles. At the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, Ram Truck partnered with Mopar to build this outdoor-sport-themed truck with several Mopar truck accessories.

The featured truck is fitted with a 2-inch Mopar lift kit that increases off-road clearance and accommodates the 35-inch tires. Its 18-inch Beadlock-capable wheel and trims aids off-road grip and traction. The truck is painted red and was featured at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show.

1 Chevy Colorado ZR2

In 2019, this specially modified Chevy Colorado ZR2 won first place in its class competing in the Best in the Desert’s General Tire Vegas to Reno Race. Many upgrades were done on the Colorado ZR2 to achieve this feat which includes prototype suspension and driveline parts.

Special modifications on the Chevy Colorado include Tie Rod Sleeve System, 1.5-inch body lift system, ZR2 steel driveshaft, and a front & rear Jounce Shock System. All these contributed to giving the Colorado ZR2 its visual appeal.
