The 2022 SEMA Auto Show once again showcased the very best of the creative minds at various car companies. Companies such as Ford and Nissan were in attendance at the show, the latter unveiling an accessorized Nissan Z and Nissan Frontier as well as the new Nissan Z GT4. But there were other companies in attendance as well, such as the Ringbrothers and Toyota who brought along quite a few interesting concepts and vehicles.

Toyota brought in the “10-second twins”, a pair of 10-second Toyota Supras as well as the GR Corolla Rally Concept. But another vehicle they brought along was the Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro Adventurer Westcott Designs Concept. This was a way for Westcott Designs founder Jeff Westcott to really show off his modifications skills with a fantastic new machine. What he was able to build for Toyota was a Sequoia, using the all-new model, on a three-inch lift kit and with some massive tires which both quite literally raise the bar for the Sequoia. It's one of the most impressive builds to come from Westcott and a highlight of the Toyota display at Sema.

Toyota allowed Westcott to take on the 2023 Sequoia TRD Pro for this SEMA 2022 build, allowing the company to see how just radically transformed the latest edition of the Sequoia could become. The first step for the team was to install an in-house designed lift kit to the Sequoia. This provided an extra three-inches of lift at the front of the car and an extra 1.75-inches of lift at the rear. After that, Camburg Racing Kinetik upper control arms were also added.

These came with Camburg Racing rear billet lower and upper trailing arms as well as a set of 17 x 8.5-inch Innov8 Racing Inc G400 wheels. To go with the wheels, Westcott chose LOT 37x12.5R17 Nitto Recon Grapplers A/T tires. This was in order to ensure that the Sequoia retained its trademark trail versatility, while also retaining its comfortable ride, something the Sequoia has become renowned for. The images from Toyota show just how lifted the Sequoia now is, a car that already has a fair amount of ground clearance. Westcott and the team have absolutely nailed the stance of their latest product.

Adding Plenty Of Accessories To The Sequoia TRD Pro

The next step for the team was to add a whole host of equipment and accessories to the Toyota. The first thing the team did in this area was work on the rigs lighting. Westcott and his team added a Rigid Industries 20-inch light bar, six-inch fox lights, a six-inch ditch light and six Rigid Industries six-inch ADAPT lights to the Sequoia. All of these were then attached using Westcott Designs brackets and as you can see they look quite spectacular attached to the Sequoia. But the equipment does not stop there.

There is plenty of other equipment on the Sequoia as well. Westcott Designs rock sliders are another highlight, as are their CNC billet D-rings, rear hatch ladder, low-profile roof rack and modular hitch-mounted rack. This to allow for the carrying of provisions or toys. One toy Toyota say you could carry is Jeff’s vintage Kawasaki 550 stand up Jet Ski personal watercraft, which we can clearly see in the images of the Sequoia. A nice touch is the fact that the Jet Ski is sitting comfortably on the rack and is nicely dressed up to complement the build's custom paint and the Toyota heritage-inspired graphics.

Camping Equipment Rounds Off The Sequoia’s Extras And Accessories

There is plenty of camping equipment with the Sequoia too. Toyota says this vehicle is all about going farther, staying longer and having fun. So it comes with a Go Fast campers roof tent, as well as a pair of Trek bikes. This allows you to stay the night wherever you are and have fun exploring as well. Toyota says that if you pack provisions and the base camp necessities, you can have a fun backwoods journey in this rather impressive vehicle and that fun is pretty much guaranteed with the Sequoia TRD Pro Adventurer Concept.
