The custom house made famous by the MTV hit Pimp My Ride has gotten into the roller coaster game with a new side by side quadruple launch coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The custom house that is also responsible for a number special builds including cars for Wil.I.Am consulted on the track layout and the look and build of the rail cars. The Burbank based custom house became a household name doing big rescue custom builds on viewer's junker cars for the MTV show Pimp My Ride. West Coast Customs founder Ryan Friedlinghaus had already begun doing special builds for celebrities like Shaquille O'Neil before being approached by MTV.

The Underground

The West Coast Customs rollercoaster is part of a new section of the park, situated just north of Los Angeles, that's meant to celebrate Los Angeles. The Underground also includes a wooden coaster called The Apocalypse and a kart track. The section, that is meant to have a 'high-energy street vibe' will also feature food and games.

The track features a side by side layout with four magnetic launches on the two lap ride, including "drag races" with the other coasters. There's even a simulated pit stop narrated by Friedlinghaus. The ride also feature four inversions and fourteen crossovers in addition to the side by side segments.
