The American singer, songwriter, and actress, Madonna, is known by the entertainment industry as the "Queen of Pop". She is also known for pushing the boundaries of songwriting, for the visuals she used in her performances, and for her knock-out music videos.

Madonna has frequently reinvented her career throughout the decades, still working fervently in the entertainment world today. Amassing a fortune through her multiple talents. She has the financial means to pay for an extensive car collection. Although make no mistake, she isn't the only celebrity with a Maybach, Jay-Z has a Maybach Exelero that he frequently takes for a spin.

One of the famous cars she drives through the Hollywood streets is the Maybach 62. With limited production numbers, this is a true one-of-a-kind luxury car that we should all be jealous of. If you get jealous enough, you can put in a bid for this other Maybach G650 for $1.8 million.

Let's check out some information that most people don't know about Madonna's $1.4 million Maybach.

Background Info

via Wikipedia

The Maybach 57 and 62 were the first car models of the Maybach brand since the revival by Daimler Chrysler AG. Originally derived from the concept car presented at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show, it was based on the Mercedes Benz W140 S-class sedan.

The Mercedes-Benz W140 is a series of flagship vehicles manufactured by Mercedes-Benz for 7 years from 1991-1998. Unveiling the model at the Geneva Motor Show in 1001 the W140 was reminiscent of the last of old school German engineering.

The W140 gained notoriety and fame for its tall roof, larger side windows, two wheelbase options, and a symbol of high-class lifestyle in the 1990s. However, this was short-lived, as Diana, the Princess of Wales, and two others died in a car crash involving an S 280 model. Despite the decline of the popularity of the W140 sales, the layout and design helped to inspire the Maybach 57 and 62.

One little-known feature about the Maybach 62S is that in 2002, a Maybach surrounded by a glass enclosure on the RMS Queen Eizabeth II left from Southampton, England. This ship was en route to New York City with the media and business officials staying in the luxury suites.

The ship arrived to New York in early July, where a helicopter lifted the 62S off the liner and onto Wall Street for its debut. The car was driven to a hall at 55 Wall Street to officially meet the press in America. The intent was to impress those at Wall Street. The car had been assembled at the Maybach manufacturing plant in Sindelfingen, Germany before being shipped to Southampton.

Overall Take

Madonna's Maybach is no ordinary car. With the Maybach 57 and 62 being the first cars produced after the DaimlerChrysler acquisition, these cars made a splash in the automotive world. The Maybach 62S is an even higher-end model of the 62. With more expensive and luxurious features, this car definitely does not skimp on anything opulent.

Not only is Madonna's Maybach an extremely luxurious and rare car, but it has also been used in many notable events throughout the years, although some were not intended. The Maybach 62 was also transported via huge cruise ship and helicopter to their new Wall Street house and the American debut. We believe there are even more details we don't know about the hidden facts of Madonna's Maybach 62S.
