Everyone knows that the world of professional sports can be a very lucrative one. If you play your cards right, have the grit, and get lucky enough, there's nothing that can't be accomplished! That includes becoming a pro racing driver, as well.

However, like all other forms of professional sporting leagues, getting into one isn't as easy as just showing up. Only the best-of-the-best are in the true spotlight; raking in hundreds-of-thousands (if not millions) of dollars every season. As such, you'll see these S-Tier drivers in the nicest cars that are out there!

Keep in mind that each driver is different. While some may prefer another vehicle to the one they daily, contracts between racing teams, automotive manufacturers, and sponsorships somewhat force their hand. After all, you don't want a Ferrari driver riding around in a Mercedes to the track.

Enough with the introduction, though. It's time we show off a selection of this year's pro-drivers and what they're driving during the off-season.

10 Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s 1967 Chevrolet Camaro

Although Dale Earnhardt Sr. has long since passed away, his legacy lives on with his son, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Now, after ages of racing, he too has finished racing in NASCAR; opting to spend his time elsewhere. Yet, once a car fan, always a car fan.

Even if he's now retired, Earnhardt Jr. still hasn't lost his touch. As an ex-racer, no normal car will suffice, which is why he drives a beautiful '67 Chevy Camaro. It's sort of a middle-ground between a full-on restomod and a regular restoration. It still looks like the original, but a tad bit quicker.

9 Charles Leclerc’s Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV

It's extremely rare for an up-and-coming racecar driver to make it to Formula 1 in just a manner of years. Nevertheless, that's exactly what happened for Charles Leclerc who began his career at Alfa Romeo before being picked up by Scuderia Ferrari.

In 2018, Leclerc was gifted an Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV sporty-SUV. It was a 'thank you' from Alfa and the whole racing team, along with a great company car. From what we can tell, Leclerc was also given a Ferrari 812 Superfast for his entry into the Prancing Horse. The reason it's not listed here is that, compared to the Stelvio, we've seen far fewer of it on the road.

Racing drivers get a hefty salary and sponsorships to boot every year. Though, only a few have the honor of receiving 'prize money/gifts' for winning a race or championship. Incredibly, Moto GP rider Marc Márquez has managed to win the same prize year after year: a new BMW M-model.

From 2013 to 2019, Márquez won seven BMW cars (in addition to bonuses + winnings). An M6, M4, M6 Convertible, M2, M4 CS, M3 CS, and an X4 M are the models he's won so far; our favorite being the M2.

It's great to see riders/drivers win physical prizes, particularly in a way that reminds us of classic motorsports.

It's hard to pick a favorite when discussing Formula 1 drivers; both old and new. If we were to really narrow it down, ex-McLaren driver Jenson Button would certainly rank very high among the rest.

Given he was a McLaren driver, you'd think we would be talking about his own British supercar, the McLaren P1. However, Button actually sold the P1 years ago, opting for a Porsche 911 GT2 RS instead.

We talked about a Scuderia Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc, and his SUV Alfa already, but we'd be foolish to neglect Leclerc's seasoned teammate, Sebastian Vettel, and his impressive garage, as well.

After having been in the Ferrari family since 2015, you bet your bottom dollar that Vettel's accumulated his fair share of Ferrari cars. From what we've gathered thus far, his maroon California T is one of his latest additions.

Who knows, with Vettel's move to Aston Martin Racing for 2021, we may very well see him behind the wheel of a fresh V12 Vantage.

Like Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris managed to make his way through the lower-tier Formula series in record time. Now, he's a fully-fledged McLaren F1 driver (2019 to present).

Every good McLaren driver needs a daily that's just as good. So, as anticipated, Norris was gifted a new McLaren 570S upon his entry into the team. It's an awesome supercar, but he may need an upgrade after seeing his soon-to-be teammates 'company car.'

Said teammate to Lando Norris is Daniel Ricciardo—ex-Red Bull and ex-Renault F1 driver moving to McLaren this year. He's far more experienced than his younger counterpart, which is possibly why he got such a fast car: the 2021 McLaren 765LT.

The 765LT is the newest and quickest of the McLaren street car lineup (not including limited run hypercars like the P1 or Speedtail). Rather than a focus on straight-line speed, the 765LT is the track-focused version of an already amped-up 720S.

A young, red-blooded racecar driver needs a daily car that'll match (if not exceed) his own capabilities. That, dear reader, may be why Red Bull's Max Verstappen chose to get himself a 991 Porsche GT3 RS.

What more can we say about the RS that it doesn't already say for itself? It's a track-focused, Ferrari killing beast that's remained among the top sports cars for generations. Hopefully, we get to see Max in the brand new one, too.

Some of the best battles in Formula 1 history have been a result of inner-team competition. When you're a successful team without fear of losing your slot in the constructor's championship, it's even encouraged! And what team is more secure than Mercedes-AMG F1?

During the 2016 season, F1 fans witnessed one of the greatest teammate rivalries of the sport: Hamilton versus Rosberg. By the season's end, Rosberg would be victorious; using his winnings to eventually buy an old Mercedes-Benz 300SL.

As far as old Merc's go, you can't get much better than an original 300SL Gullwing. Very fitting for a Formula 1 world champion.

Speaking of a world championship-winning Mercedes F1 driver, let's not forget Lewis Hamilton - Perhaps the greatest Formula 1 driver to have ever lived. Being THAT good gets you quite a way, even as far as having your own hypercar.

Said car is the upcoming Mercedes-AMG Project One! Built around Hamilton's championship-winning Mercedes W09, W10, and W11, the AMG Project One is a literal F1 car for the road. Heck, it's even got the same engine!

"Want one, too?" Well, get ready to fork over at least $2.7 million for one. Not a lot for Lewis, but impossible for the everyman.
