Fair warning: any discussion on Steven Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith, is going to be filled with puns. So walk this way as we take you through the cars and motorcycles that have put the 74-year old rocker in the fast lane, including on BBC's Top Gear as a Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2013, Tyler's a rock star in the truest sense. After decades of living the rock 'n roll lifestyle, it's a wonder the man still looks like he's only 50. In a way, the same can be said of his eccentric choices when it comes to his wheels. While some celebrity car collections are filled with supercars, classic cars, or even electric cars, Tyler's taken a more personal approach.

From a custom vintage Ford truck, to custom motorcycles, and even custom hypercars, it seems like when Steven Tyler asks a manufacturer for a favor, they oblige. Thankfully, none of them are covered in his signature animal print pants!

And while Tyler may not have all the fancy metal he once did, having donated the star of his collection to charity, we don't want to miss a thing when it comes to the rest of his collection.

UPDATED DECEMBER 2022: We've updated this article with more resources and details regarding Steven Tyler's car collection in 2022.

If Steven Tyler didn't know he was a rock star by the 1990s, he probably felt like one on the back of his Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. Aerosmith was booked to perform a private show for Willie G Davidson, the former senior vice president, and styling officer for Harley-Davidson. Tyler is understood to have impressed Davidson so much that he commissioned a brand new Fat Boy for each member of the band.

This bike would later be made famous for its appearance in the iconic sci-fi action movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day. With its 1,344 cc engine, most people likely heard Tyler coming before they ever saw him on the back of this monster. Tyler's special affinity toward Harley-Davidson grew over the years, and in 2006 he teamed up with a bike dealer to launch his very own signature series of custom bikes.

Tyler has earned his time in the sunshine, and the rocker can mostly be found hanging out in Maui at his beachside home. If he feels like taking a few boards down to ride the waves, he's going to need something more substantial than a Harley-Davidson to carry them.

That's where his vintage 1941 Ford F1 Pickup comes in handy. This pickup is beautifully restored to look almost brand new, and fans of Tyler's country music might think it looks familiar. Tyler's F1 Pickup appeared in the music video for his track 2015, "Love Is Your Name."

Tyler's love of motorcycles may have begun decades ago, but it certainly hasn't faded over the years. Even waking up in the hospital after a motorcycle accident in the 1980s wasn't enough to stop Tyler from climbing back on two wheels.

His love of Harley-Davidson bikes is possibly what inspired him to branch out and create his own company, Dirico Motorcycles. Tyler, alongside his brother-in-law, customizes Harley-Davidsons to their liking, and it's one of those models that the rock star rides around on.

When he's at home in Hawaii, Tyler feels the total freedom of riding around on his beloved orange Dirico. Tyler was once quoted saying, "If it shakes you in the right places, it's God's gift." Perhaps the Dirico was Tyler's very own gift to himself as he enjoys island life on top of his Screamin' Eagle 110-powered custom bike.

Lotus Super Seven

Sometimes the most simple design is the best, and it looks like Lotus got it very right with the Super Seven. Steven Tyler certainly thought so as he admitted to having a blast driving around in this 1961 vintage with his son beside him and the tunes blaring.

Although Tyler did explain that he was listening to AC-DC's "Back in Black" rather than any of his own material. The Lotus Super Seven preceded the Caterham Seven and many other similar cars thanks to its lightweight body and elegant handling. As it weighs next to nothing, the car goes from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds, and it makes for a great day out at the track too.

The Famous Hennessey Venom GT Spyder Of Aerosmith's Lead Singer

Sometimes thrills are cheap, and sometimes they cost a cool $1.1 million. That's exactly how much Tyler shelled out for the 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder, the then-fastest street-legal car in the world. The rapid car could achieve a remarkable 270 mph, and it was built by Hennessey Performance in Texas.

While Los Angeles and Hollywood might be known for their stifling traffic, whenever Tyler does find an open road, we're sure he has a blast in his convertible. The car had a 1-horsepower-per-kilogram ratio, so the power had to be increased to 1,244 hp thanks to the added weight of a convertible roof. Tyler would eventually put his 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder up for auction, raising $800,000 for charity.

Panoz AIV Roadster

Steven loves classic-vibing roadsters. What else would explain his love for the Panoz AIV Roadster?! While it might look very similar to the Lotus, this is a very different sportscar. He didn't want the Lotus Super Seven to feel out of place, and so gave it a worthy companion.

The Panoz is powered by a 4.6-Liter naturally aspirated V8 that churns out 305 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. While the numbers sound humble, its extremely lightweight character provides for a grin-worthy 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph. We believe that this vehicle is still present in his garage.
