The real star of the hit TV series The Dukes of Hazzard is "The General Lee." It's not an actual person but a 1969 Dodge Charger named after Robert E. Lee, the famous American Civil War general. General Lee, the car, hasn't been forgotten to this today; it now resides in the realm of legends while giving birth to thousands of replicas.

Interestingly, WhistlinDiesel recently bought a shiny replica of The General Lee. How would he treat such a car? Since he's known for his destructive stunts, you might wonder what WhistlinDiesel would do with his very own version of The General Lee.

Destructive Similarities

WhistlinDiesel is famous for his stunts; it’s safe to expect a vehicle destroyed in each episode. For instance, his massive MonsterMax truck destroyed a couple of gooseneck trailers to a pulp. Whenever possible, MonsterMax would get into a tug of war against any other vehicle featured on his channel.

The General Lee is also quite a stunt car. Since a majority of the stunts – especially the jumps – in The Dukes of Hazzard often results in damage too severe to repair for new episodes, producers had to employ not just one but more than 300 General Lees. Each of these General Lees are identical, as distinguished by assigned numbers.

Where The Show Left Off

A MonsterMax versus General Lee tug-of-war showdown, however, is very unlikely to happen despite their destructive records, simply because WhistlinDiesel admitted to being a fan of TV show. Being a fan, however, doesn't mean he would leave General Lee inside a barn or garage for keeps.

WhistlinDiesel's intentions for General Lee was very clear at the beginning of the video. He intends to drive the iconic Dodge Charger just like how it was driven in the TV series. How? Reckless, with plans to jump over a bridge. Only by doing things like that, WhistlinDiesel can continue where The Dukes of Hazzard left off.

Keeping The Legacy Alive

What's next? WhistlinDiesel wants to keep the legacy alive and well. He might recreate some scenes from the TV show and do the hood slide every episode. No tug of war for General Lee, though, please.
